All this love in with signing Howarth.

Rides Swindon and Poole well!!!!

Tonight 0 0 1 0 = 1

Signing Howarth instead of Robbo will not stop Poole winning the league

A rider has poor nights, I would guarantee Howarth would score more than Robbo in the playoffs. Kyle is a better rider than Robbo, there is no doubt about that.

If im being honest i kinda dismissed his 10 against Wolves for the reason...erm...it was against Wolves! No sorry will be serious now....his recent form has dipped a bit was well down on power against the Aces and pretty poor save for one ride (altho then S.Lambert closed in) at Leicester...i think a lot are being hard on Robbo he's scoring between 5 and 6 for the Bees not sure why anyone is expecting Kyle to do much better??..a better rider?...younger yes but i dont think theres a lot in it

The 1.3 point higher average suggests he's better. That 1.3 converts to a near 3 point swing. Over 2 legs that a 6 point swing. There also the fact that on his day Kyle can score 9-12 points, Robbo just won't do that any more, a good day is 7 points. Admittedly Kyle is the more likely to score 2 or 3 but that tends to be at Wolves and Lynn, tracks he doesn't like (or 1 at Poole last night!)

Kyle Howarth is better / younger than Stuart Robson however only one of those guys wanted to ride for the Bees at the start of the season and I think we should stick with Robbo given his efforts to up his game over the last few weeks - if Kyle was going to stay around maybe next season also then possibly but no guarantee of that either ...

Bees hopes of a play-off win rest with an improvement in form from Hans and continued good form from the rest of the current team as opposed to switching Howarth for Robbo imo !!

If we signed someone like Zmarzlik would the fans who dont want to change Robbo because "he gives a 100%" change their stance?

Yes, of course. That's the whole point.

If we replace Stuart it needs to be with someone who can change the game and make us contenders.

The reason Kyle scored 1 at Poole last night isn't beceause of a rare off night, it's because the Poole top 5 are all far too good for him at Wimborne Road.

Coventry fans would never want to replace a British rider with a foreigner. They've made this pretty clear.

Nobody has made that clear at all. If Zengi had been released I think Bees fans would have insisted on us signing him.

A few daft fans (of all teams not just Coventry) have criticised the Robins move, but those of us that are sane realise that Swindon needed a full team and a sacrifice had to be made.

Screw it, I would. Anything to beat Poole!

Whoops. My mistake. :)

Not much point in replacing Robbo with him then as I'm sure Stuart could also score 1 point at Poole.

Looks like we're doomed.

Although Kyle scored 9 in the playoff final at Poole (3 wins) which is the point why some want him in. In fact last season scored 5,7 and 9 all more than what Robbo would. I also say I wouldnt take much from a guest booking when he was sacked a day before, it's not fair to judge him on that when you look at previous results. His last 3 home EL scores were 10,4 and 9, we haven't had anything like than from Robbo this season. Edited by woz01

It's rare Howarth scores that low esp at Poole. He had just been sacked so confidence would have been knocked. All riders are allowed the odd off night. He's good for 9 points most of the time.

That's the worrying thing with Robson, as hard as he tries, he is a 4pt rider and sometimes he's not even scoring that. Most of his points are only from finishing ahead of Hans or a opposing reserve esp away from home.

I will be very disappointed if we don't make a change howarth for robson has to be the call if we are serious about winning the league

I agree, it doesn't matter how many points clear we are at the top we will not win the play offs with the current team.

Unless they have some other 6+ rider waiting and reading to sign at the end of August! May all be part of much more elaborate plan!
