Simple if unrealistic answer ... redeclare Hancock for Andersen, Before June 1 then redeclare Andersen once fit. Practice in UK for Greg one week ahead of the WC match for USA at KL and gives Bees a full team for the match vs Poole ... Should get some people through the gate was well (weather permitting) ...

I would be looking to move Robbo if the right rider became available

Ok, so Hans attempts this meeting and finds that it doesn't hamper him anywhere near as much as first thought......... Scores 9/10 pts, would he then consider continuing to ride in EL matches, and world cup if seclected? What annoys me is riders who when injured then cherry pick where they ride...!

I am not having a go at Hans by the way, he is the utmost professional, but if he goes ok in the European meeting, why should he not continue in other meetings....???

I imagine he would as could be riding in Poland also tomorrow if no discomfort during today's meeting. However first he has to get through practice and then if able to hold on okay then through today's meetings. All big IFs at the moment.

Mick Horton announces Bees may not be in EL next year after the farce of last week, losing thousands of pounds from the meeting. " Financially it was a huge loss for the club. It's not right".

So the Sky money didn't cover his costs then .....

No he basically said that after the meeting. When you know it will get to 10 heats max then why should fans show up? I for one was not surprised by the low crowd given the shocking forecast for that evening. The fact that Horton was not allowed to protect his own business is just not right, Poole is usually Bees biggest crowd so it was a financial disaster.

No. Each team gets a share of the sky money. They then during the year rely heavily on the admissions money to fund the season.

There is usually a packed stadium for Poole & Wolves meetings, would say over 2000 people last year but due to terrible weather conditions & most thinking it would be off there were less than 100 and some of them like myself most likely had season tickets.

That's why it's wrong that a club can't call off their meeting any more on the day of a meeting as huge financial loss

think there is n normally more than 2000, but as the stadium holds 8000 not "packed" then!

there were more than 100 in the main bar not sure how many actually turned up.

it was all set for a big friday and then got stuck on sky so i would say he probably lost about £40,000 because of the change

Not any more, the money is paid to the club where a meeting is televised, and GSI, there may be a very small amout paid to the bspa.

Is this the same person who couldn't make it work at Peterborough in the PL and losing money by the week in the NL at Coventry?

I'm beginning to wonder if it's not which League he's in, or the location of the team, but something else.....

Mick doesn't say he will pull out, just the club will pull out of the EL. Don't blame him if he's losing money through no fault of anyone at the club.

How about sticking in an application for the Premier ASAP , going back to Saturday nights , perhaps local derbies with Leicester ........................ even Cradley . !!!

Its a vendetta by the officials - Havvy said so!! :D (I'm joking - couldn't resist)

Seriously though I have every sympathy with any promoter losing money in similar circumstances. Any enquiry - if there is one - should at least clarify to one and all - including fans - who is ultimately responsible for deciding on whether a Sky meeting, or indeed any other meeting should be on or not - the home promoter? Sky? GSI? The SCB officials? The team managers/riders?

At least everyone would then know once and for all!!

Having said that, I'm sure such protocols are already in place and known by the promoters and all concerned - except the fans :oops: !!

I'm not going deny he has failed elsewhere he has. Also at Coventry he has done some ridiculous things too which wasn't necessary. I'm going to be very interested in what he has to say tonight.

You propose PL then cite derbies with 2 teams who aren't even in it.

Any loss like that over a season is bad enough but for one meeting it's a disaster. If it is around that ball park figure then they will do well to get that back.
