mdmc82
heard through the grapevine that Mr H has barred any Coventry rider riding at the Bob Kilby Memorial meeting.. p!$$ poor if true.... Think it's just a rumour as riders don't need permission to ride in individual meetings.
A ORLOV
Think it's just a rumour as riders don't need permission to ride in individual meetings. Hope that is the case as always goes well in individual meetings and seems to like the Swindon track.
naffer
Do you think Lewis was after a bridging loan? I will get my coat.
Gemini
Yes, you'd better. Someone has already done that joke on the Lewis Bridger thread.

Tsunami
Think it's just a rumour as riders don't need permission to ride in individual meetings. Think you still have to approach a riders team, rather than direct. What would happen if the club had planned some sponsorship do, a media session or planned a team visit promo. In addition, if you were a team that had say 3 meetings in three nights, would you let your rider ride the day before the first one.

The club didn't have a lot of say did they when it came to guesting in play off semi final though did they?

As when it suits clubs they are. But then when it suits them not to be they are employed/slaves.

Happens all the time with GPs, Polish and Swedish meetings as well!!
mrcts
Completely agree. With the point limit higher this year, the last rider could be the difference between the bottom or top of the table. Shamak or Mads I personally think would make us one of the favourites. However no disrespect to Klindt but would make us a lot weaker and below the limit. Mads was absolute pooh at Leicester last season........Klindt was the better rider by far....I'd never want to see Mads in Leicester colours ever again. But then when it suits them not to be they are employed/slaves. Quite agree and as has been often said no club in the UK owns any riders although some seem to think they do when it suits and have even been daft enough to pay transfer fees to other clubs. That's just given me a great idea - maybe I could sell my window cleaner to my next door neighbour?

So why did Mads average more? Average more riding as a heat leader while Klindt was beating reserves and second strings for his points Lets also not forget Mads has never been know for his gating prowess and more for his racing - something that the Leicester track isn't known for. Mads+Leicester was always going to be a disaster. It's funny how fans at Newport, Swindon, Peterborough and Kings Lynn all speak highly of Mads yet Leicester don't! There are some at Swindon that don't but he would do a good job for Coventry. Pity he's not interested in riding in the UK this year! He has always been committed to his clubs - so something must have happened at Leicester. He has always been very popular at the clubs he has ridden for - so much so I thought he would have seen his career out on loan to KL. Maybe so. But anyone who thinks Klindt is a better rider than Korneliussen is slightly barmy IMO (edit to add, having read it back this morning that post seems a bit nasty. It was meant in a joke-y fashion!) Edited February 27, 2015 by SCB
kingbee
Could we look at Linus Sunstrom would his average fit ?
beesknees
Could we look at Linus Sunstrom would his average fit ? Think we have 6.90 left ... Andersen 8.33 Harris 7.49 King 6.74 Robson 4.54 (PL converted) Total 27.1 Sundstrom's last average was about 7.22 from memory. Can't see any sense in going for Klindt (5.16), massively weakens the Bees. See that Andersen, Tatum and Louis are riding at Bomber's testimonial, perhaps one will come out of retirement to plug the gap Edited February 27, 2015 by beesknees

If so maybe Rosco/Colin Pratt are respecting Mads' decision to miss out on UK this year and haven't given Coventry permission to speak to him?! Maybe that's why Horton is trying to stop his riders from doing the Bob Kilby meeting?!
