Woz01
thats just appeared on facebook from cameron, im guessing we already have a rider lined up? hence the press release I thought that before it was announced Woodward would miss the start. Don't think it will be long before an announcement is made.
kingbee
Surely this work permit thing puts this myth to bed? Cannot double up, cannot guest... Seems they are employed by a single employer. Agree. Pawlicki for Woodward turns this ordinary team into quite a decent looking team. Sir Jasper
And I hope people support the Rico meeting by going to Lakeside and showing your promoters what you think of their disrespect over a loyal rider who ultimately gave his life for the sport we all love! Disgusting response by the Coventry promotion! Try telling that to Rico's widow and sons!!! Tell you what, contact the family on Twitter, ask them if they have a problem about it before getting all huffy on their behalf.

Jacques
So far we've had suggestions of.......... wait for it Henning Bager and Lewis Bridger, if that's the best we can do then I'd go for postponing the start too ,
mdmc82
At least we know with already having 2 D/U riders, we won't have Barker.

Woz01
To be fair Bridger would certainly do a good job as a 2nd string rider although he isn't a favourite of mine. Mads Korneliussen is a decent shout.

Mads Korneliussen is a decent shout. I don't agree about Bridger, poor or no equipment etc. He gave up because he couldn't afford it, what's changed. We've been there with him before Mads is a good shout, if he behaves himself. I like Mads a lot. He was a saviour for Lynn a few season back before he got injured ( I think it was Lynn anyway)

We've been there with him before To be fair to Lewis he never said he was giving up because he couldnt afford it. He was doing well in Poland and England but said he wanted to take a year out to sort his complicated private life out which was causing a distraction and he wasn't enjoying his racing. According to what he says on Twitter he seems to have got himself sorted and could be tempted back, but it would be a bit of gamble . He had some superb equipment last year but has sold those bikes and I don't suppose he could get bikes like that again at short notice even if he still has the money, and assuming he could get sponsors back on board. Anyway it's a bit academic because on aCMA of 6.75 he probably wouldn't fit into Cov. It would be difficult to get a rider of Cam Woodwards standard on the points available especially as you already have 2 d/u riders. G the Bee
How many points do we still have available? Our old friend Jepsen Jensen is on 6.52. However, if Mads is available, we'd be daft not to snap him up. He's always good value around Brandon.

Thanks E I, I may have made a mistake about his reasons for giving up this time. My view still stands though, as he's threatened it before. I've also seen the tweets from him being back on it and ready to prove himself time and time again. He may have some superb equipment, but he doesn't ride it well. When I think of Lewis Bridger, I think, bucking bronco, constant wheelies, (not always deliberate because he doesn't have control of his bike or brain) poor judgement causing him to be on his arse, when it matters. I hoped when he came to Coventry under Rosco, he might achieve this potential that was muted years before, We just got the same old Lewis. Why do you think he's bounced from club to club over recent years? He talks the talk, but he doesn't deliver. I've nothing against the guy personally, and it's my view of course. If he comes back and it works for him, great. I just don't want him in my team..
