Young51
One of my memories of Anders is that he got on the wrong side of Monarchs captain Kenny McKinna at Armadale one night after an ill judged suicidal passing move went wrong..not a smart move as Kenny could give & take, but didn't suffer fools haha.. He wasn't a bad rider for Newport Wasps i recall in the late 90s (?),but was prone to the odd 'rushes of blood' lol..i can vaguely remember him clashing with Phil Morris also?He was a nice guy off track from what i remember too..a bit of a random post tbh,but there's a long winter ahead i guess.. SCB
i found this link..god bless google..i hope Stoney got his moneys worth lol..oh and it's Henriksen by the way Mr Angle.. It's actual Henriksson Anders did seem to find himself in a spot of bother quite often trying to pass people. He was just a bit crap at it. But he was a very good gater, certainly at Newport. He often went missing at away meetings. Kind of rider most clubs would probably love to have really, scoring well at home 95% of the time and was loved by the fans as he had a bit of charisma. He and Carl Stonehewer had a number of clashes over the years, I remember him coming back mid-2001 and his first meeting back being vs Workington and him bascailly riding through Stoney on the 4th bend of heat 13 to take the lead and Stoney not being best pleased that time too. Some of the holes he could make on the 2nd bend for his team mate were impressive too, certainly knew how to use his elbows!

romans lovechild
the time when stoney went after him at Sheffield with the spade I recall the week after, the Sheffield promotion showed their sense of humour by listing stoney in the programme as CARL SPADEHEWER, classic.

Yes, Neil Machin at his marketing best as he managed to get a local spade manufacturer to sponsor the next meeting. cityrebel
I saw Henriksson and stonehewer have a big punch up at a reading v workington match in 2002. Stoney was lucky not to get thrown out of the meeting. I can't believe it's so long ago.

Blackadder
I remember Stoney going after him with a spade at Owlerton in 1998 after Anders had fenced him The playing of Ace Of Spades by Motorhead took some of the heat out of that episode. Very funny at the time.
Pinny
Anders definately knew how to get under stonehewers skin, always beat him at newport and stoney hated it
Robinh88
Anders certainly had the intensity, wish he'd been a bandit wasn't his dad loaded or something?
