Bspa Meeting...

Says on Swindon site linked above, only in Elite League thank god.

Should be allowed to do what you want with your team IMO.

But nothing on the PR from the BSPA though? Does mean that all the teams apart from Poole can keep their final 5 from 2014. Poole 1.69 over

If Auty is "in" does that also mean any Brit under his ave will be allowed to be a FTR? Plus what happens to Steve Worrall with his ave of 7.54?

Still lots of questions to be answered.......

Initially I thought, "great" then I looked at the averages and the 34 point limit is madness. One or two teams are going to be utterly terrible while a team or two signing the right riders could be totally dominant. Especially as they have not taken into account the fact second strings got higher average last season.

Is Auty a Coventry or Birmingham asset?

Scunthorpe.

So, in summary.

Three actual decisions have been made all weekend.

3 points for a home win.

One TR when 10 points behind.

Yellow and Black Helmet Cover to return.

Other things are being tweeked.

Fixture list better adapted around GPs.

Format better adapted for visiting number 4.

Fast Track riders shuffled a bit.

Doubling up a bit restricted, in two years time.

Everything in the garden really must look rosy, then.

If that is it.

I just had a feeling that here was a tad more work needed.

Must be wrong.

Worrall is already in the draft and won't be forced out. Brits under Auty's average might well get the offer, you do have to be invited.

When I read that bit of the statement, I must admit I did chuckle out loud. "SCB will have a field day with that one" was my initial reaction!

My translation of it was:

We screwed up, but we don't know how to fix it, so we're just going to stick a couple points onto the averages and see what happens!

The EL issues have been broken down quite helpfully here. http://www.swindonlinksport.com/swindon_sports_news/bitesizeagm

This link gives some different detail than that in the official BSPA statement, so either the author is making some unfounded assumptions or he's had some 'inside' info from the likes of Rosco I presume?!

Why would the BSPA statement say that they are hoping to make it as easy as possible for as many GP riders to consider the EL - only to then introduce a 'maximum of 2 x 7+ pointers' per team??? It just doesn't make sense!!

EL and PL, or just EL?

Crazy for EL. 34 between 5 riders is only just under 7 as it is.

It was 32 last season, if you didn't notice .

All in all a favourable AGM with some fine adjustments that were badly needed. Pleased to see the amendment to guests in the play-offs. They must have thought it was farcical as well. :t:

Although they have increased the team points limit to 34, I feel, because they refused to re-address their easier averages, there will be massive problems with some of the high scoring 2nd strings and some wont find a team to ride for. Especially as some PROPER heatleaders have lower averages than them. I fear for the second strings. Because of the BSPA's refusal to adjust this year, next year it will be even worse.

Apart from that, well pleased with the outcome..............

What has 'NL' got to do with anything? The fast track draft system was not limited to only NL riders, it included PL (and some EL) Brits from the start!

they all had ridden in NL within the past year or so, they were mostly young up and coming riders or those new to the sport with the odd exception.... Where are we going to fast track Auty or Roynon too that they havent already been??

Is that then fair on Howarth, or Lambert for example who at least have potential, will they be part of the fast track or expected to ride in the 1-5??

Fast track my arse!!

No your not wrong they have fudged it again, but I am not surprised they couldn't organise the proverbial pi$$ up at a brewery.

I really bloody despair at times, they even had the cheek to mention somewhere that they had listened to the supporters, yeah right.
