Trees
Perhaps people will come back if we use the internet, come the start of the season we should all send an advertising film out on Twitter and Facebook, with free tickets to be won etc ....... the Poles do some great short promotion films, about time the BSPA came up with something cool :-)

They should get permission from the powers that be to use it as a promotional tool. All clubs in the EL should be able to use one as a promotional tool.

Woz01
Coventry did an advert and it was put on before films at the cinema, maybe they should've put it on you tube, twitter and Facebook too.

oleoleole
If you can spare the time and get yourself to Nuneaton a week on Tuesday, 25th November, you can ask a panel for their views on the AGM or any other speedway issue. The NSSC "Speedway Question Time" panel consists of; Tony Steele, Jim Lawrence, Buster Chapman, Rob Lyon, Rory Schlein, Adam Roynon and Simon Stead and will be hosted by the very knowledgeable David Rowe. So we have representitives from all aspects of speedway; the FIM, referees, promoters, team managers, riders and of course the fans. Entry is free to all but there will be a bumper raffle and donations accepted to support young British riders. So if you'd like to support young British riders and have a good speedway night out with like minded people please see our website for all the details; http://www.nuneatonspeedwaysupportersclub.co.uk/ Thank you.
barncooseboy
Speedway have had a crisis in 59 when Mike Parker came into the fold after running so called Pirate meeting and the Premier League was born, a few years later tracks again went Pirate and the British League was born BUT the big difference was people wanted to see the product and there were local riders who were in the area 7 days a week. Now even home riders arrive at the track from wherever at 4, ride and go, there is no local presence available in local pubs, restaurants i.e Riders are not seen in the local community durin g the week and so there is no contact with the local community as there used to be. Speedway needs to become more involved in the local area so spectators can form a bond with our team. Kids used to drop into sheds and garages to give a hand cleaning bikes, leathers etc and spread the word at school about the sport. how about all tracks running a few BMX races at the end of meetings to get the local kids into the stadiums
Blackadder
Didn't see this, from Berwick, in the AGM statement:- Also now included is the guest facility for your lowest reserve, allowing for any guest rider up to and including his average, plus a percentage increase allowed if you bring in a guest for a home meeting, when an eligible rider is missing. If a rider gets off his bike to 'garden' in 2015, the referee will exclude/disqualify the rider Didn't see this, from Berwick, in the AGM statement:- Also now included is the guest facility for your lowest reserve, allowing for any guest rider up to and including his average, plus a percentage increase allowed if you bring in a guest for a home meeting, when an eligible rider is missing. Missing riders average +5% for the guest

SCB
If a rider gets off his bike to 'garden' in 2015, the referee will exclude/disqualify the rider What if a rider walks upto the tapes with a pooper scooper? AKA "does a Tai"? TBH, as I see it, the riders have 2 minutes to be ready to race. If they're not ready then exclude then, as happened in the Coventry vs Swindon meeting this season. weatherwatcher
Have the BPSA done anything at the AGM about finding a sponser for the EL. Instead of just sitting and chatting they should be out there trying to get a big name firm to come in to put a bit of needed cash into the sport. I could see no problem going for someone like McDonalds and having posters in all of their branches, advertising speedway, or can they manage to plod along now they have lost the few million that Sky gave them every year. The sport needs a major advertising campain and they need to get off of their fat backsides and do something positive for speedway. To much talk and very little in the way of action from them. Who says they are not doing something behind the scenes. Asked not to change things and still get responses like yours. Change everything and it's 'they don't know what they are doing'. Just a shame they haven't got the wisdom that some fans on this forum have. Edited November 18, 2014 by Tsunami
