Fromafar
Everything is fixed.... the yelllow and black helmet colour is back! No further business needed! It was very close vote on this decision with some Teams threatening to withdraw from league if it did not go through.
Phil The Ace
They kind of listened. It's a start.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
The big decision for me is the double up change to allow 2 seasons only. Could be some big decisions ahead for a number of riders.

Vulcan62
So when is the real statement coming out?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
The big question mark for me in the EL is tge choice not to address the inequality in averages caused by last seasons format. Simply increasing the limit is just a paper over the cracks job. There will now be some teams that sign 4 heat leaders while others only have 2.
A ORLOV
Only one TR now and when 10 points down is an improvement, as is the holding of the AGM next year before the end of the season so that teams can sort out any foreign riders before they go home. This will also help with the visa issue.

Phil The Ace
Apparently only 2 riders per team with an average over

Totally agree, I just couldn't quite figure how to word it , but hopefully it may lead to a stronger league.
TitusTokio
The EL issues have been broken down quite helpfully here. http://www.swindonlinksport.com/swindon_sports_news/bitesizeagm
thommo34
No mention of what happens with doubling down riders - is that for 2 years only?. Â Nothing seems to have been done to reduce the number of guests? Â Would also like to see no rider able to ride in all 3 leagues - but maybe that's one for the NL promoters. oldtimer
The BSPA statement says in the Premier League, in ALL two legs aggregate events there will be no tactical rides, does this mean NO tacticals in the Play Offs? If so this is a very good decision, also a good decision that you can have a guest for a rider missing due to a foreign commitment and a great decision to allow only one tactical. Although the stament says "We have listened to fans," sadly no mention of guests, we need a rule to say you can only have a guest to replace your number 1, otherwise it's R/R. The team average for Premier stays at 42.5 (any discount for British riders) which means clubs will be weakened yet again, with many having to lose a heat leader. Regarding doubling up being restricted to two years, what happens if a double up rider races say 6 matches for example, and is then injured and out for that season ? Does it still count that he has used a double up year? Edited November 16, 2014 by oldtimer

foamfence
The EL issues have been broken down quite helpfully here. http://www.swindonlinksport.com/swindon_sports_news/bitesizeagm According to that, ten riders will be in the top group of the draft, hopefully that doesn't mean that two of them don't get a place. The facility for guests in place of riders with overseas commitments, seems to have been increased (bad move?). I'm pleased they are sticking with the draft and tweaking the format though. Islander15
Out of curiosity if the 3 points for a home win existed this year: KL would have finished top in the EL, Berwick would have been above Ipswich & Redcar above Plymouth in the PL and no change in the NL. 2ndbendbeerhut
Wheres the only 2 riders over 7 come from? Currently there are 15 riders over 7 from this years averages But what happens when all then GP stars want to come back? Panthers89
Says on Swindon site linked above, only in Elite League thank god. Â Should be allowed to do what you want with your team IMO.
