Cj69
Steve has confirmed that he had broken his wrist. Shame for the lad not to end his great season on a high. Makes our task against rebels harder with max and justin plus reserves taking an extra ride. Or maybe a bit more even with them missing brady. lucifer sam
I don't recall Sheffield putting their prices up when they reached the Play Off finals. Sheffield in the Play-Off finals??? - Spinny, is there a play-off final for the bottom two teams? All the best Rob
Cliffeboy
Bad news for Steve after a great season. Is that the first Monarch injury this year, not sure. That evens things up a bit cos I think Steve and Brady are on about the same averages , so six against six then.
TheScotsman
Might even things average-wise between the pair but 2 of Stevie's rides will be taken by our reserves who are VERY poor away from home (and Deek is battling against an injury ) whereas Brady's can be taken by Morris, Aspgren, Wright & big brother Kurtz I believe. Mega advantage to Somerset.
Cliffeboy
Good point but sedgy and frick will score better than Steve at our place, it's pretty even I think tbh
arnieg
If Worrall wrist is bad then thats game over for us. Same as last year an injury costing us the title.Yes I can see what you mean - the Monarchs were hopeless without Worrall at Foxall Heath - they only won 53-37. Of course it's a handicap, but 'game over', get a grip.

Mega advantage to Somerset. R/R being used by both teams for a middle order man (fourth in the averages for one team and third in the other) - seems about the same for both teams to me. As for Sneddon riding with an injury, well aren't Olly Allen and Charles Wright as well? Scotsman, are you getting in your excuses early? Mr Blobby
Both teams using r/r is advantage Somerset makes them stronger around Armadale as Kurtz was woeful in the league meeting
TheScotsman
fox missed a few with his leg and deek a handfull also. Max missed 1 or 2 as well I think and Aaron had 2 big knocks - his leg and then when we was wiped out by Matty on the telly match. R/R being used by both teams for a middle order man (fourth in the averages for one team and third in the other) - seems about the same for both teams to me. As for Sneddon riding with an injury, well aren't Olly Allen and Charles Wright as well? Scotsman, are you getting in your excuses early? All the best Rob Come on Rob you can do better than that!! It's pretty obvious that one ride each from Morris, Aspgren, Wright and T Kurtz is better than one each from Fricke, Sedgmen, Sneddon & Fox. If you want to use the last set of averages, their's is over 4 points ahead of the Monarchs ones. And Derek pulled out of his last ride at Ippo and then missed the meetings at Edinburgh and Worky so is battling to be fit to ride again, rather than just riding with an injury as you suggest. He was riding with the injury for weeks. The boys will give their all as always this season, but the odds have shifted in Somerset's favour. ekimba
C'mon monarchs fans stop with all the doom and gloom and beleive in this team, they have constantly surprised everyone this season and I see no reason why that can't continue. I know some feel they are just being honest / realistic but stop voicing it out loud. I am sure our top 4 can manage 40 between them on Friday, then, anything else picked up by the reserves or R/R will be a bonus and we should be able to finish it off at home. Beleive Look if you are going to nick our saying at least try and spell it properly Worrall was a big miss for them on Saturday (contrary to the slick track/weren't trying excuses) Sedgmen didn't really blow the world alight which left them vulnerable having weak reserves. Somerset can easily cover Brady's rides.
Brooksy
Olly Allen's out of both legs apparently. Kennett guesting on Friday and Summers on Saturday. Does that even things up enough for you whingeing Monarch fans? Steve Worrall scored 4 from 4 rides on his only visit to the OTA this year, so r/r should cover that. Advantage Edinburgh now I think. scotchopper
Oliver Allen now out as well. I think its Eddie Kennett on Friday and Aaron summers on Saturday. Massive shame we are not getting full strength teams for the big one. I would back the monarchs against any team in this league home and away. Stevie missing puts a massive onus on Max whov gets an extra ride and will have 3 rides with a reserve unless they can change r/r to number 2. Not sure when the team had to be declared but that would be an obvious switch for me.
springdale
Well I wouldn't worry Monarchs fans with Somerset missing Olly Allen (injured in Poland!) with Kennett a guest at Somerset and Summers at Ediburgh they may as well hand you the trophy now
scotchopper
Aaron can do as good if not better than Allen at the Dale, no idea about Kennett though that could be a big difference. How does he go there?
