So who is the owner/s have the allied chaps taken full control over finances? Hope they appoint Paulco and Gazs as the new tigers mascots and put a case of lech on centre green for them get them having mini races on wee tricycles between heats.

Can understand where you are coming from but sometimes people post and then realize why did they post that i know i have done it myself but as George has said it is all about opinion's and everyone is entitled to there's.

Means sod all if he doesn't want to ride for Glasgow

True can't force someone to ride for you if they don't want to but at least you would receive a loan fee would be very surprised if he was anywhere but Glasgow next season though.

If we can get him at reserve alongside Kasper what a pairing we would have and would be a good team-building start.

It's fine on here , it's when you venture into the very strange world that is the Glasgow Facebook pages , then it gets embarrassing . You get folk complaining about promoters not saying hello to them and riders not waving to the crowd . It's wonderfully cringeworthy stuff .

I guess Im one of the ones you are having a go at with the 5pm thing. So lets put the facts down for me. Up to others if they want to speak up for themselves

I bought a season ticket with Glasgow stating they had a start time of 3pm. As I said at the time, I accept you get the occassional happening eg double headers when start times have to change but when they then started to change the start time gratuitously to 5pm at a whim and, like some others, I have other commitments and cant do 5pm starts. Had they indicated when selling season tickets that they were contemplating this there are two of us here who certainly would not have bought them but gone on a pay as you go basis. I therefore felt - and still do feel - cheated that they deliberately changed their part of the deal when I bought the season ticket making it a bigger waste of money for me. If you think thats an unjust 'moan and groan' then you must be one hell of a laid back person who is quite happy to be taken for a ride or one of those who made the decision. I'm not. Im the mug who forked out for something that was not what it was sold as because the goalposts were moved for no good reason.

Speedway is dying - plenty reasons why and treating paying customers badly is just one of many.

I couldn't help but think while reading Pairman's piece, Wolbert wasn't struggling, he was turning up with crap kit

I mean a footballer wouldn't turn up with a pair of Gola football boots for Matchday

Why didn't they drop him? or was it easier paying him to drop 3 points off his average as opposed to bringing in an 8 point man

Suggest you read the piece again he explains why he was not dropped.

LIONESS There is no such thing as a guaranteed fixed start time there will always be the odd change to suit availability off riders. Look at football it can be anytime between Friday pm to Monday pm for league games. You seem a smart person but buying a Season ticket was big mistake you needed 19 or 20 meetings to break even was never going to happen with the team we started with.Next year it will be a good buy.

If you read my post properly I said I accepted the risk of meetings being moved for genuine reasons. What I don't accept was the gratuitous way things were changed for no good reason after tickets were sold on the 'meetings will run at 3pm'premise announced at the end of last year. That was treating fans with disdain no matter how much you want to try and dress it up something that seems to have been all too common in recent times.

Why on earth would I want to consider buying a season ticket next season after you have just implied that start times will be moved willy nilly and you have just suggested I was 'stupid' to take the risk when I expected them to plat fair last season and my trust was repaid by being shafted? Now THAT would be stupid would it not?

And you would justify this how? Especially as we the fans dont even know what season tickets are being set at or what the terms are yet.......

The reason to change start time was not to do with the good of the club or for a reason on a couple of occassions but the whim of people involved who didnt give a damn about the fans and you know it. To try and claim that hoping people will have forgotten is frankly insulting but as I said already it was only one of many things that have turned people off the speedway. It certainly did a good job of peeing off even more fans, something that seems to have been a constant over the last couple of years. A good reason? Yeah the fans were just told and that was it for some. The joke attempt to get the fans to 'cheer' for a 5pm start from the centre green one week not only failed miserably but made the club look a joke. The constant telling other clubs fans what were going on and not us - we had to find out from Newcastle/Edinburgh/Berwick/Workington and I think also Rye House fans what was happening in our club - thats how much consideration we were shown. Oh and not to forget your beloved ice hockey and the 'well the ice hockey had players out and didnt tell the fans and they didnt moan so neither should you' when fans felt annoyed at finding out from other sources that there were going to be 3 NL riders in a line up and Glasgow were trying to keep it from the fans then blocking people who dared to disagree even civilly. Crazy thing is, had they been open the majority would have felt sympathy with the clubs predicament but still gone to cheer on their team. Instead you had people saying they wouldnt be going because they were being treated like mushrooms.

Lets face it the club has been run like a joke and the start times was just one of many things. Why the hell would I or anyone trust what is said about season tickets at the start of the year after the way we were taken for mugs this year? There were good people there with hearts in the right place but no real idea of how to deal with people or run a business, plus idiots. Unfortunately the damage done by the minority will take a lot more than 2 years to repair imo

If you are racing on your normal race day there should be no reason to a change the start time.Availability of riders! Shows what joke the sport is,promotions should be telling the riders not the riders telling the promotions.
