topaz325
Comets v Monarchs, guest for Josh and r/r for Rene, a few showers forecast for Saturday afternoon..... Been a struggle at Worky this year with the weather, injuries, double uppers, double downers, double dip recession, double deckers....oh sorry got a bit carried away, abandonments, double headers...might give the last meet of the season a miss if its on Saturday the 25th.....are we there yet. TheScotsman
Are there betting odds available on a) whether the meeting will take place and/or whether 15 heats will be run?

workyboy
If it's on, I just hope Kyle Howarth fetches his Coventry bike! 'cos his Workington bike is chit!!!!!
jenga
its the same bike , but the elite league is far easier to score points in..
scaramanga
dont know about showers in the afternoon but think the overnight rain could finish it off track not looking good now never mind after more rain

arnieg
its the same bike , but the elite league is far easier to score points in.. The evidence suggests otherwise. Looking at the averages of doubling-up riders Howarth's PL performances are out of line with other double uppers. eg Lasse Bjerre EL 4.67 PL 8.65 PL av 85% higher Klindt EL 5.16 PL 6.68 PL av 29% higher R Worrall 5.60 PL 7.32 PL av 31% higher Grajczonek EL 6.34 PL 8.11 PL av 28% higher Howarth EL 5.43 PL 6.31 just 16% higher Bjerre is an outlier at the other end of the scale so 30% looks like the expected premium, meaning Howarth should be averaging about 7.

comet49
Think I'd keep him unless he states that he wants to leave, he's still young, and I feel that next season can't be as bad as this for him.

TheScotsman
Congrats to Worky on the big win. I'm surprised I must say. Looked like a strange evening - 7 race winners to the Mons but lost a stack of 1-5s. Still as long as everyone is unscathed and No bike issues that will be the main thing.
magnus
The Comets were on song. Track superb and plenty of grip considering the weather. Where do we start with next years team building. Plenty to ponder guys, what ye thinking?????
Fenway Bleachers
Well done Worky some better form at home at last. Not many teams beat Edinburgh comfortably. However I am surprised this meeting got finished, could they not find a reason to call it off?
