Congratulations Poole and commiserations to Coventry but you were beaten by the best team on the night.......... A couple of pointers though.........5 lap race??????? Not the first time at Poole this season..........the ref awarding that heat on the second lap........by time it was stopped the pirates duo were on the third lap.........a ref can award a race at any time after the first lap has been completed as far as I am aware...........Garrity and Sarjeant need to stop jumping the starts............ On a side note I read elsewhere and this is not the only reason why I think Garrity is a liability on a bike, from a Coventry fan was that Garrity's aim was to put Newman out in heat 2 to give Coventry the win as without Newman we would loose..............Garrity spent every race against Newman trying to put him out of the race and failed............if he had ridden the track and not the rider Coventry may have stood a chance............. RP I have just posted a thread about Jason Garrity, but due to the fact I posted a couple of innocuous images, I am still under a moderation queue so my thread isn't showing yet. It may be by the time this post is approved! Garrity is focusing his attention to cheating and not becoming a better rider, and I have a feeling that this is with the support of Havelock. He tried his hardest to jump every single start last night (as he always does), he tried his hardest to take Morris out, he stayed down to get a rerun and he tried his hardest to force Kyle off. We all know how hard the heat leader positions were this year. When Kennett rode as a second string he was awesome. His average was not false, that was his starting average. Kennett proved he was out of his depth as a heat leader under the new racing programme. Despite him being `awesome` in the odd meeting he did not one EL promotion bothered to sign him as a second string, which tells me all i need to know. The constant attacks against Poole from the likes of stevebrum, Gavan, The Doctor and a select few others who believe that every issue in speedway is directly attributable to Matt Ford have made this victory a whole lot sweeter! Thank you guys sincerely as I wouldn't of enjoyed tonight nearly as much if I didn't know how unhappy this result would make you all! That goes for all the Poole haters. Yet another that cant take constructive criticism and instead resorts to the `Poole hater` line. Coventrys Danes went AWOL, Coventry managements minds went AWOL when they sacked MJJ. And Matts string pulling to get Benji Compton in proved to be one hurdle too far for the Bees. No, seriously. I'm pleased for all you good guys, the majority of your fans. I even quite like most of your riders and clapped them as they received their trophies. I had to draw the line at M&M though! At least Matt was a little gracious in victory, Middlo though, he has to be a prick every time. Then on the way out got chatting to one of your lot, random guy. Wished up luck with the stadium fight and he was looking forward to next years play-off final vs Coventry. Proving your fans are not the issue, so for your fans, I'm pleased for you. Poole Quay 7 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Share Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) A mention to the Coventry fans on here who have been very sporting in defeat....Well done to all I was thinking who my Poole rider of the year would be and the two names that come to mind straight are Kyle Newman and Maceji Janowski. It's a tough one to call - particularly after Magic's brilliant ride in heat 13 that finally broke Coventry's spirit. But when you take in the whole season then for me, Kyle just gets his head over the line closely followed by Magic. Just a little advice for you all, the Poole lot are actually really great people. We aren't evil, we love the sport just as much as you do, and more often than not we agree with you on some of the things you find unfair. The problem is you are obsessed. You think Poole is an evil club with evil supporters who live only to damage the sport and win at any cost. I won't pretend Matt Ford is perfect, and I have disagreed with his actions in the past, but if more promoters were like Matt we'd have a much better sport all round. You force Poole fans into a corner, and you attack them until they agree with you or abandon the forum. It's not cool, it's not fair and it's not very becoming. But hey why pick up on that when you can tow the usual crap that some of you spout on here. Its amazing that however many times Poole fans stick up for Ford that no other supporters of any other club actually put likes against the post! And one more question. Chadster Posted October 21, 2014 Report Share Posted October 21, 2014 With no association with either team, I thought that was a terrific meeting last night, a reminder of how good speedway can be. Poole have been a 6 man team practically this season but Newman's return to form in the second half of the season meant that they were able to cope. I thought Howarth was terrific in the play off final and I hope his display gets him an opportunity to race abroad next season, which is so vital to the development of young British riders. Funnily enough, I post my own thoughts and opinions, I don't post to achieve likes. I don't need other people to validate me What's wrong with changing names? Everybody knows its me?
