Well like most I think pedersens a k..b and dangerous on a bike, however speedway would be a sad sport without him. Absolute box office.well done np

Btw why didn't they just show the first two heats on catch up, it would have only taken a few minutes to catch up.idiots!

CLASSY riding from Emil. Not sure who is doing his engines but it isn't Ashley Holloway.

He certainly seemed to have lots of pace in his engines tonight...even in the final he looked the fastest but Nicki was too smart for him...

Has there been a split between Emil and Ash?

It's a genuine concern of mine for the rider and the sport that, unless matters change, he will join the sad 'greatest riders not to win the World Championship' group.

Or maybe going forward the World Championship will become an event that loses value and Emil's efforts in the European Championship will become more valuable than we might think just now...

Statement on Onesport`s SEC website

- When three years ago we started the project SEC we knew that it would not be an easy task. It was all difficult, but productive time. There were many ups and downs, but we managed to fill most of assumptions. Therefore, we want to continue to develop the European Championships. For this reason, we negotiated with FIM Europe on the renewal of the contract. Today we can officially say that we signed a contract until 2025, including it. - began Jan Konikiewicz, One Sport.

The formula of the tournament remains unchanged and all the details about the next year series will be given at a later date. We wanted to thank the President of FIM Europe, Wolfgang Srb for professionalism, favour, so we can continue on our project.

- We are proud to announce that the Individual European Championships will remain in the hands of One Sport. Over the last three years, the event has gained incredible prestige, the best speedway riders take part in it, which of course is good for the development of this sport. New locations, millionth audience in front of television screens meant that we decided to trust One Sport once again and sign a contract for another 10 years - said Wolfgang Srb, the President of FIM Europe.

Next the organizers have prepared a surprise for all fans. Since 2016 One Sport in collaboration with FIM will cover the patronage of the two new projects.

- In 2016, for the first time history, Individual World Championships U21 will gain promoter. The series will be held in the format of three events per year on a similar basis as SEC. We intend to continue the exploration of new markets and lead to a situation where the championships U21 will be broadcast live to many countries around the world. - said Karol Lejman, One Sport.

However, this is not the only surprise prepared by FIM and One Sport.

- World Championships U21 is not the only new project in which we will engage. Starting from the next season we will also be promoters of World Cup 250, which will be organized on the occasion of one of the finals of SEC each year. Although the agreement has not been signed yet but all the details have been agreed and in the next few weeks it will come to its initialling – said Karol Lejman.

At the end FIM Track Racing Director Armando Castagna spoke

- Over the last few years we observed the development of projects under the auspices of One Sport and FIM Europe. We decided to extend cooperation and propose to acquire new projects, this time together with FIM. We are convinced that all the events will be organized at the highest level, and our cooperation with One Sport will be long and successful

Hope the meeting came well across TV last night? Fantastic evening at the MotoArena, with a great athmosphere, although the stadium was not realy crowded. Torun never fails to disappoint. Checkout my photo's here: http://www.baansportfansite.nl/nieuws/750/nicki-pedersen-wint-eerste-ronde-ek-speedway-in-torun.html :)

Far better than the Grand Prix's even though we missed the first three heats.

I wonder what people would prefer like as it was last night or a recording of

the whole meeting from heat one?

Imo, its better to go live direct and then replay the missed heats in

the first track grading interval.

Yes well done Nicki, shows you can win meetings cleanly without the need to put other riders at risk of serious injury.

Oh dear.

As earlier, and many others agree, the whole meeting was full of moves along the lines of what Nicki did to Greg. Lines were CONSTANTLY taken. Riders were having to shut off or be stuffed in the fence, some didn't and traded elbows whilst scraping the fence.. options Greg had, but chose not to utilise.

In other words, it takes two (or more) to have a really good hard race.

Agree totally with that. The quality of the racing (so far) and of the riders in this years GP series is arguably the worst for a long long time, with at least 5 riders not in it (for various reasons!) who would have greatly improved the racing.

There's only really one winner of it this year, Woffinden (as long as he doesnt get injured). Lets hope that the likes of Emil, Darcy, Laguta's are all in it next season.

Nicki has won many many meetings without any incident?? Dont really see what point you are making? Consentrating on isolated incidents, half of which are racing incidents is poor really... Yes hes wrong a few times but not as much as the whinging monster team want us to believe....

Bet you were gutted watching a true racer winning in that style last night eh :)

Any ideas if this is repeated on eurosport / on YouTube?

Last year I think they showed highlights of the meeting in the hour before the next round is shown, catch this if you have not managed to get it on utube
