acef
Yep that is the answer. He needs to get himself noticed. Personally, I'm happy he's here as a 2nd string. Not so happy with the doubling up. I think he has gone as far as he can. Think like a lot of Brits he will end up settling for only the UK. Like I said though, I'm not bothered from a BV point of view, because he will clean up as a 2nd string.
hyderd
Polish teams are limited to 3 foreign riders I think this year. Cookie needs a strong EL season to get foreign teams interested. Surely that breaks the freedom of work in the EU ?
Kitch87
Surely that breaks the freedom of work in the EU ? How is that any different to the premier league or champions league (football) only allowing certain amount of foreigners in squad? Doesn't break any "eu" laws, Polish teams can sign as many foreigners as they want they can only use 3 in a matchday squad. And to add to that, elite league teams over here are restricted to maximum of 5 foreigners because the 2 reserves have to be British. Please, put that myth to bed now. Aces51
Interesting comments from Jason Crump to Max Fricke on his signing for the Aces. Nice to see the regard Jason has for the club. http://instagram.com/p/wn_mGdIqA1/

lionking
Just what did go on with Jason Attwood at your place was he a good manager or did the riders not get on with him ?
Bruiser McHuge
Maybe , just maybe Craig Cook has weighed it up, realised he's an excellent rider who no matter what he does is not going to be World Champion and decided that he is going to use his talent to earn the most he can out of a speedway career....I reckon he'll earn more being the number 1 in the PL and a very good EL rider than trekking to Poland and Sweden for the type of contract that he might get in his position......I for one will never criticise a rider who maximises their earning potential and sees speedway as a business.
TheScotsman
On the speedway365 podcast he said he is still trying to get a place in Poland but could not afford to ride if he only had the 30 odd meetings from the EL, so he has to do PL as well. And has lost 4kg this year from training. I never thought there was that much spare on him to start with!!
lionheart
Depends how much grip you like How I read the post was that the gate four advantage needs sorting, rather than criticising the rest of the circuit. LeicesterLion39
For some unknown reason there is a rumour going around that Cookie hasnt signed a deal with The Aces because he isnt a heat leader. Crazy robin
They were the most successful in that period yes, but they weren't the biggest club, Man Utd had the highest averages attendances during both the 70's and the 80's. A football club is not judged big on just attendences as Liverpool have had a waiting list for season tickets of over 15 years & could fill a stadium the same size if Old Trafford easily. Don't think Man Utd had too high an attendence when they were relegated or under Atkinson.

Don't think Man Utd had too high an attendence when they were relegated or under Atkinson. Since utd had the highest average attendance of over 48,000 when they were relegated and playing in division 2 which was the highest in the country, and also had the highest average attendance in the country every year that Atkinson managed us then I'm not going to bother carrying on with this debate. I will end with the fact that if you think Liverpool would average 75,000 in a 75,000 stadium then I think your dreaming. They would certainly fill it out for the big games, but doubt they would average that. Man utds attendance on the other hand would have an average attendance of greater than 75,000 if the stadium could hold more than that.

Absolute tosh & of course Liverpool would fill it for every premier League game. Maybe you should look at how many are on the waiting list for season tickets. Of course Man Utd never have spare seats do they!! Edited December 19, 2014 by Crazy robin
