hyderd
Hoping for a great year for Belle Vue too. Just out of interest where would you say changes have been made for the better, who wasn't pulling there weight? our 2 reserves are a match for any this coming season especially with Stefan Nielsen now riding at 7, also Max Fricke is a great signing, so these 3 are my choice as to where we have improved, I can see Craig and Simon tooing and frowing for the number 5 slot, so on paper yes we do look pretty decent, but I said that last year also.
The White Knight
Well I'm hoping for a better Season this year. I think it is looking fairly positive so far.
Bradford Ace
All depends on this visa situation. If we go with the current side then I think we're play off contenders. If Fricke doesn't get a Visa & we end up with someone like Ales Dryml instead then we r struggling

Fricke was in top 4 of Aussie Final and is Aussie U21 Champ, so qualifies doubly for a work permit. So don't see them having too many problems once it's all ironed out. If worse comes to worse recall Richie Worrall and use him for Fricke.
T.N.T.
Being u21 champ I understand means he meets the criteria for a visa Fricke was in top 4 of Aussie Final and is Aussie U21 Champ, so qualifies doubly for a work permit. If worse comes to worse recall Richie Worrall and use him for Fricke. Jason Doyle is the Australian Champion and GP qualified while Chris Holder was World Champion only 18 months ago but both still have problems regarding their visa's so a replacement may have to be found Richie Worrall doesn't fit Pontus Aspgren was looking for a place in the Elite League and turned down a place at Somerset hoping to move up full time

No rider can (re)apply for a visa until his club has their sponsorship licence reinstated by UKVI. That will not happen until clubs have successfully attended the UKVI workshop(s). UKVI have stated that they will work with BSPA members to reach a satisfactory conclusion in a timely fashion. The chronological steps are therefore: Clubs attend workshop - clubs get licence reinstated - riders submit sponsored application forms for visa - UKVI issue visa - riders attempt to book flights in time for March 15th! Seems awfully complicated - especially when we seem to allow all in sundry into the Country from both inside and outside the European Union. I know they are trying to tighten up the Rule - but - a few Speedway Riders from Australia and New Zealand, for pete's sake.

But BV haven't had any work permit riders in the last few years, so can't see how they were one of the teams caught out. And Fricke is more than eligible, qualifying under 2 criteria. So BV may well be one of the least affected.
ouch
It's a shame The Aces haven't been involved with visa riders for a few years as if they had this current issue would likely have never happened.

As I understand it - ALL clubs have had their sponsorship licences (Certificate of Sponsorship) revoked until they have been through the UKVI workshop/course, whether they were at fault or not!! That seems a bit daft - if someone had done everything correctly then why the hell would they need to go on a course that is tailored for those who haven't a clue?

It would seem this shouldnt ultimately be an issue, except for pl clubs who were planning to hire ineligible riders.
T.N.T.
Which was the point I posted before stating it has nothing to do with how good the riders are it's down to red tape and rules and at present until anything else is confirmed, Max Fricke is without a visa and in the same boat as the rest which is why I suggested Pontus Aspgren as a possible replacement even if temporary. Still looking like one of the strongest teams in the league and if they can't get in the play offs with this team there is something wrong. TitusTokio
Which suggests that none of them have a clue - which we all know to be the case!! The whole sport does it badly. The entire asset/loam systems go directly against visa guidlines and BV have used both of those.
