P T Preece
Bugger, back to work on Monday after having 10 weeks off after a foot op, dont think I will be in a fit state to drive over to Brandon straight after work, it must be Matt Fords fault. I was hoping it would be the week after.
NeilWatson
COVENTRY Storm face the biggest match of their season on Monday when they take on powerhouse Cradley in the first leg of the National League Grand Final at Brandon (7.30pm). The meeting has been brought forward by seven days due to the re-arrangement of the senior team’s Final in the Elite League, so the City Gearboxes Storm are the first to go into action in the vital closing stages of the season. And having been the only team throughout 2014 to get the better of the Heathens, that coming in a dramatic Brandon clash on Easter Monday, they are looking for some kind of a lead to take to Monmore for the second leg next Tuesday. Whilst the Storm were overcoming Kent in a competitive semi-final, Cradley romped to a 41-point home win over Mildenhall and then finished the job by winning at West Row last weekend. The Heathens track a team with potential race-winners in every department, several of whom could be No.1s at other clubs – and they include Steve Worrall and Paul Starke, whose respective Premier League clubs have qualified for the Grand Final at that level. But the Storm have also gained in strength from their semi-final line-up with Stefan Nielsen expected back from a near two-month injury absence, although a planned try-out at Kent last Friday was ruled out due to the weather. Club asset Joe Jacobs again steps in at No.1 in place of injured British Under-19 Champion Oliver Greenwood whilst James Sarjeant leads the team fresh from his 18-point maximum in the semi-final and a run of crucial scores for the senior team in their own title charge. Storm boss Laurence Rogers said: “It’s going to be a special tie. Cradley are on fire as we know, and I’m sure it’s going to be entertaining to say the least. “If we can get everyone going, we can do it. It’s a shame Ollie is out for the rest of the season as his knee damage is worse than we thought, but having JJ in should stand us in good stead. “We just need a couple of the boys to get going, hopefully Sarj can continue the form he’s been in and I’m sure Dan (Greenwood) would love to go back to Cradley and take the title!” Admission on Monday is £12 for all adults, with children free of charge as usual. CITY GEARBOXES STORM (from): Dan Greenwood, Joe Jacobs, Martin Knuckey, Stefan Nielsen, Luke Priest, James Sarjeant, Ryan Terry-Daley CRADLEY (from): Max Clegg, Nathan Greaves, Tom Perry, Danny Phillips, Paul Starke, Matt Williamson, Steve Worrall. Hunty
Im very happy that its been canceled, I for one have had to loose a days pay to get the 20th off and when they moved it to tonight at 2 days notice I was livid! Its wrong what they did in my opinion and it is just rewards for how we have been treated! I want to support my club and the tracks I visit throughout the season but this year Coventry has been a minefield for Cradley fans from the first meeting to what will now proberbly be the last! paul90210
The meeting had to be moved from the 20th as riders were unavailable due to the elite league final being moved. Just hope both sides are still at full strength when it's re run

Hunty whilst i sympathise with you look at the problems mate. Coventry Bees in the play offs, Somerset in the Play Offs, Edinburgh multiple finals, and the weather unsettled, also NL is 3rd choice in the Tiers of Speedway. 1, Check when the EL Play Offs are 2. Check when Somerset are riding 3. Check Edinburgh Dates Both Teams are trying there best to Track full strength Teams, already we know this week at least one rider has another commitment,so first free date will be Sunday.
Hunty
Would not be an issue if we didnt have fast track or double up riders. The plenty of solutions, the season needs to be finished by September the 31st and not run into October when it gets way to difficult to get the matches in due to the weather at this time. The season just needs to be shorter with less fixtures and you would then have more openings to reagreange summer rain offs! Last season we didnt even finish all our league matches

Blackbird
Plenty of other teams have gone into vital matches without key riders (eg Kent's vital last away match at King's Lynn clashed with a workington Pl match so club captain Simon Lambert unavailable) - so why shouldn't Cradley once in a while?
