Lakeside 2015

Recommended Posts

What a treat to watch Jonsson every week on the Lakeside track. I've seen Leigh Adams ride that track supremely well, but Andreas I'm sure will be equally superb.

Not sure about him and Ben Barker riding together though!

As others have said, a major coup to have him back riding on these shores.

Living ten minutes from the track I rarely go there but seek my racing elsewhere. That said with the master stroke of AJ returning I'll be more than happy to give Jon Cook my money next year. Great entertainer, popular with the the fans and a Gentlman as well. Well done JC

I think the team will be

1. Andreas jonsson 9.03
2. Richard Lawson 6.50
3.Other ?
4. Kim nilsson 5.63
5. Mikkel bech 6.85

6 Ashleigh Burks

7 Adam Ellis

Ben Barker5.85 Not sure he would fit in well with AJ and Mikkel!

Mads Korneliussen 5.95 ok away needs to get dialled in around Arena

Timo Lahti 5.45 rides Arena well worth a punt (swap riding order)

Club assests I believe

Peter Ljung 5.54 all depends on what Peter turns up! bit inconsistent

Jonas Davidsson not sure of average on right equipment and fully committed worth a punt at third heat leader IMHO

Same here,I used to go to Lakeside but have been going to Kings instead.

But with AJ back I shall probably try and do both.

1. Andreas jonsson 9.03

2. Kim nilsson 5.63

3. Joonas kylmakorpi 6.33

4. Mads korneliussen 5.95

5. Mikkel bech 6.85

No thanks.

I am sure Lakeside can do better than that.IMHO.

Given that AJ will not come cheap, flying in another rider for every meeting may be a bridge too far. A UK based rider makes financial sense.

Great news that AJ and MB are in the team next season. Even better that Watt wont be in the team Poole are welcome to him. Ben Barker would be fine by me.

it depends who Barker signs for . If he goes back to Plymouth their race night is Friday, as are a number of other PL clubs.

Trouble with Ben is that a lot of people don't like riding with him as was the case with Lewis. He has a bIt of a reputation of not looking out for his partner. His average fits perfectly but wether his personality will fit is another matter.

I have got to say a big well done to the hammers management for bringing aj back.As was said in an earlier post , I bet a few people who may have stayed away will think "hang on aj will be here this week, not going to miss that", there was a similar situation a couple of years ago when emil signed for Coventry and came to the NA, loads turned out to see him.

Obviously one swallow doesn't make a summer, but the feelgood factor of a big star returning like aj reminds me of when we had to go to the "abbey" as a kid because ole olsen was in town with the bees, or penhall with cradley, mike lee with the stars, pc and mort etc etc etc. Big names are draw cards , no doubt about it

It's a start but this is the same AJ who needed a wildcard pick for this year's and last year's SGP series and possibly the same going into next year if Ward had kept his nose clean and Iversen and Holder weren't injured. A good signing as #1 for Lakeside which they have been missing for a few seasons. As you said "One swallow doesn't make a summer"

Kennett is a better rider than his current Elite league average in my opinion so would be worth a punt. He rides our track well an should improve his average.

What I have a problem with is a couple of misdemeanours in the past. Siting on the track not clearing his bike and injuring one of our riders! and the incident with the silencer against us!

I get what you are saying completely CHK but Lewis also had a reputation before he came to Lakeside but he won the majority of the fans over, not all of them mind as i knew of one or two that simply did not like him and stuck to that belief out of principle.

Putting aside past events for a minute it would make good business sense for him to be at Lakeside as it may attract some cross over support from Rye House.
