philfromcov
I gather - according to some - that AJ's average is being reassessed to 9.03 (from 9.66), ie equivalent to the highest EL average of 2014 (NKI). Is this confirmed anywhere officially?? Just asking. thats what i was going to ask? what will be his average? great to see the legend back! pity its not back with the bees but hopefully will get to see him at least twice this year
liam
Lawson, Nilsson and Ben Barker to complete the top 5??
Mjolnir
Lawson, Nilsson and Ben Barker to complete the top 5?? I would have mixed feelings on that top 5 ... but I can't think of a better way to accommodate both Richard and Kim (assuming it fits). Although I wouldn't be unhappy with Ben, I think ideally I would like a stronger heat leader and a newcomer along with Richard for the averages to fit. That would be a solid top 5 though. Perhaps I would be happy with that. I'm genuinely not sure who we'll be signing! Edited November 28, 2014 by Mjolnir
E I Addio
Lawson, Nilsson and Ben Barker to complete the top 5?? It would fit :- AJ 9.03 Mikkel 6.85 Awesome 6.5 Kim 5.63 Ben 5.85 ------------ 33.86 The thing with Ben Barker though is that he hasn't really improved for a few years now and although at one time he was hot stuff around Lakeside his recent visits have tended to be rubbish. SCB
Ben as a second string would clean up in this league. I'd have him back at Coventry if he's not agreed to sign for us 2 years ago then changed his mind and signed for Birmingham. 100% effort from the guy and he hates losing. Give him a meeting or two and I'm sure he'd get the hang of your track again.

I think Ben would do very well for us as a 2nd string, but I think our 3rd heat leader would struggle against some teams and rotate between Awesome and Ben, and possibly Kim depending on how he does. It's difficult to guess whether the strength at 2 & 4 would make up for a slightly weaker 3rd heat leader. Perhaps my standards for heat leaders are just a bit too high? Haha Edited November 28, 2014 by Mjolnir
liam
Have to agree. When he guested for Bridger he was saying how much he liked the track. We would be in for some real entertainment with AJ, Bech and Barker in the top 5. I would be well happy with that team.

marko
Poole fans now getting worried that Davey will be back with them in 2015? Having AJ back is a massive gain and WILL put bums on seats (or rather deckchairs in the case of Arena Essex) for all the negatives that surround our sport and put me off going, he is one rider who could tempt me away from the comfort of my armchair. Mikkel i was worried would end up elsewhere but pleased to see maybe some pride was swallowed by one party or both? Richard Lawson will almost certainly be back, so that leaves two slots, Kim would seem a safe bet so who will be the final man? would not be unhappy with Ben Barker although our track at times will not suit his close to the fence style but he is a battler and provides entertainment. As for the FTR i think we can be pretty happy, Adam Ellis has lots of potential and i suspect we protected him for the B rider slot and took a chance with the main pick but Ashley Birks is a good pick, i was worried we would get Boxall who i have never rated. bruno
For all the comments about not needing the top riders back I wonder how many have said il go and watch lakeside when they visit with aj.il be checking out the wolves fixtures to see when he's there

We'll have to wait and see, but at the moment it doesn't look like there will be a place for him.
