Poole Speedway 2014 Elite League Champions !

Recommended Posts

The point was that when Poole needed a 4 point away win, the speedway establishment went through hell and high water (literally) to ensure that the meeting went ahead and wasn't abandoned until Poole had enough of a lead and that the result would stick. NOW that Poole have been vulnerable with injuries to their riders and would face a second leg at a disadvantage, all the excuses are being trotted out for why the meeting isn't going ahead.

How dare you criticise Poole!

I fear for you now mate as the usual mob will be on you like a pack of Wolves

This problem could have been sorted last week very simply if the Speedway Control Board had an ounce of backbone . Poole have had more than enough chances to get the meeting on but no one in authority has the guts to upset Matt Ford .You Poole fans who keep sniping and name calling other posters for their comments need to look back over the last few years at different controversial things that have gone on and you will find the main name that keeps cropping up is Poole ..Your promoter seems incapable of running a team on what most other promotions deem a level playing field .IF THE TIE IS NOT RUN THURSDAY THE SCB SHOULD REMOVE POOLE FROM THE COMPETITION AND AWARD A TWO MEETING FINAL BETWEEN KINGS LYNN AND COVENTRY

And if the Coventry leg is washed out award the championship to KL.

Question why is Coventry leg of the Final on Friday as all previous Finals have been on alternate Mondays.

Because it was meant to be the Monday just gone (13th) but was cancelled due to Poole not staging the semi in time.

And if the Coventry leg is washed out award the championship to KL.

Good weather forecast tomorrow. Also bit different failing to stage a meeting once and failing 4 times!

So you want to see racing in torrential rain as per last night and last Thursday.............and after the amount of heavy rain we had last Monday.............

At least today there have only been a few showers..........one of them heavy so it will go ahead............

Yeh of course they should, another headless wonder who doesn't live in Dorset and seen how much rain we've had in the last week.

No we won't mention BV 2013, you ever heard of rider safety, or doesn't that cross your mind. Nah, must be a poole thing.

Starman you don,t know me and I don,t know you but believe me I am not another headless wonder as you put it and I probably have far more experience than you regarding track prep .My comment was based on the fact that if you try as hard as possible on most tracks you will get a semblance of a racetrack .Ripping a hole in the track in my opinion isn,t trying at all to get a chance of the match being on .Its not a 9 to 5 job and unfortunately Mr Ford does seem to bring quite a lot of negativity and

controversy to his dealings with most other clubs. If the meeting goes ahead tonight I just hope the match is allowed to run its full length and not stopped for another underhand reason. My reason for saying the final should be K/L v Cov was purely for the fact that you have had 4 goes incl tonight to get the meeting on . K/L would have been there apart from the serious injurys to NKI and Bjerre as they have been the best team by far all season and Cov deserve to be there because they won both legs home and away v the other semi finalists Swindon .No doubt you wont agree but at least I don,t go name calling and it is supposed to be a fans forum .If you do win look forward to another Cov against Poole final and if we manage to beat you again in the second leg a t wimbourne rd our riders will get hot water to shower in not stone cold like we had before (another Matt Ford toys out the pram thing ).

Gavan i beleve you are Ipswich fan but i thought this Poole site would be the best place to catch your attention I see your team were racing the P L cup final tonight. On Ipswich v Edinburgh thread there has been 86 posts and you only posted ONE Ipswich to win by 10 score 37-53. If i was you i would stop trolling the Poole sites consentrate on your own team to give better predictions

so nice of you to care and take time to find out where I post. I was at the Ipswich meeting last night and am holding back my thoughts until I get over the piss poor performance of some of our riders. Just in case you want to check what else I post have a look in the horse racing section or the Grand Prix one. Once again thanks for caring

Lets hope Poole win and we can then have a winter of people slagging the great Poole off :D

When Poole are crowned EL Champions they can look back at the season and attribute their title to one thing above all else, and that was the successful manipulation of Kyle Newman into one of those Fast Track Reserve slots.

How a rider with 5-6 years experience at PL level gets to fill a slot intended for young inexperienced but upcoming NL talent puzzles me as much today as it puzzled me in March.

Oh give it a rest, this is getting pathetic now. Poole had nothing to do with Kyle being given a fast track position. He wasn't ready for Elite League at the end of last season, he only started getting good right at the end of the year. He was next to useless in the Elite League before that.

Poole finished number 1 because they were the strongest team throughout the season. Our other fast track reserves probably didn't score much more than 20 between them all season. Swings and roundabouts. Don't be bitter.

So what was the point of fast track reserves? To give the likes of Kerr and Garrity a chance or to give some old timers like Newman and Smart a lifeline? Was there also not an intention to see Team GB benefit from the development of young talent?

How will British Speedway benefit from Newman being redefined as young upcoming and a potential Team GB rider? Does anyone actually think that he will represent Team GB at the SWC?
