Red Panda
Stop trying to spin things. You haven't had rain 24/7 since last weeks mess up and the track WILL have had chance to dry to put covers down to protect it for Wednesday. I thought even you had at least one brain cell. I know i`m wrong on the last part tho. You say we have not had rain down here 24/7 since last Monday............or was it Thursday...........either way you don't know because you don't live here.............and apart from a short time yesterday and a short time on Saturday yes it has rained to varying degrees here.........mostly consistent heavyish rain............... As others have said you cannot put covers on an already went track because it will not dry out and retain all the existing moisture from the previous rain.........and then I dare say you will slate Poole for poor track prep again.......... Some people need to live in the real world............ RP It must have been dry to sort out the hole! (just saying again). Last Tuesday was the only reasonably dry day we have had since last Monday............ RP
Starman2006
Are you saying we will not get speedway Wednesday now then.As it has been raining today and only really has tomorrow to dry out,and with it forecast to be pretty cool the chances are slim.Maybe the trackman will have to blade it(god help us)and lay a new track tomorrow ready for Wednesday, not forgetting to put covers down on a lovely newly laid track Dogs tomorrow. stevebrum
I think he's talking about you.. As expected that went right over you're head. Some people need to live in the real world............ RP RP Poole rightly got slated for poor track on Monday or do you think its perfectly OK to create a hole in a track you are trying to prepare?? I do live in the real world thanks. Don`t forget to remind everyone not to make personal attacks ..................... whilst you happily have a go at me. Shown up for the hypocrite you are as usual. Gavan
What is it with Poole fans on her. Not all of them just the usual suspects who when challenged cant answer the question and just resort to insults. This meeting should have been on last Monday and wasnt. That is down to the muck ups from Poole speedway in creating the Grand Canyon on bend 1 and then being able to do anything about it. Last Thursday couldnt be helped. What is strange is that people are saying they have had rain every day since and cant do anything. So does this mean then that the hole is still there? It must be because they cant work on the track! Why when the hole was filled was the track not sorted out? It must have been fairly dry at that point. They could have then got covers and kept it dry until this week. It just smacks of Poole now not being to bothered about running this as they know that they will go through on the technicality of finishing top. Gavan
You are talking like a bloody kid (just saying) not really. people just ask the questions that Poole fans either cant or wont answer. Its those fans acting like kids. people from Poole have said its rained non stop for a week, and quite rightly people are questioning if thats the case how have they managed to repair the hole? It must have been dry for them to do that so therefore they could have added covers. its a simple question yet somehow nobody can answer

No what part of about 12 hours almost consistant rain do people not understand..........it should have been pulled well before the start time last Monday hole or no hole............the hole as it has been called has been rectified and the biggest problem has been keeping the track dry enough to race on.............covers will make no difference because of the amount of moisture already in the track...........it has not stayed dry for long enough to completely relay the track............ Also what part of as long as the final is completed by the last day of the season (31/10) it does not matter do people not understand............ffs we had major issues completing the finals against Swindon due to bad weather a couple of years ago and took about 5 attempts to run the Poole leg and two the Swindon one..........no one batted an eyelid then....... Poole not bothered about running it...........never heard so much c**p in my life............bloody trolls.........think they know everything about Poole when they should be looking at their own teams inadequacies instead of interfering in things they know nothing about.......... SteveLyric2
As has already been reported/posted (but ignored by those that wish to continue stirring), the hole down to the base occurred approx. 2-3 hours before the scheduled race time, which is why it could not satisfactorily be repaired to the riders agreement, despite serious and continued attempts to pack it with the materials available at that time.. The hole in the base has since been repaired during the continued wet weather and was repaired in time for the Thursday rearranged date, which was again rained off! The other issue that the Poole track has to deal with is its close proximity to the sea!!.. The water table is very high in the surrounding area compared to the level of the stadium. This means it takes longer to disperse excess water especially during persistant and heavy rainfall. Not saying that Poole is unique in this respect but it is by no means ideal compared to some other tracks. Gavan, they have plenty of tools in Poole. But clearly not exclusively!! stevebrum
I await ten pages of put downs, probably started by SB or Gavan. Although they might hold back now I have mentioned it. There is little else to argue here is there. The hole was created due to error and quite possibly the meeting would have gone ahead. An error caused by the track prep. There is little else to add. No doubt the usual few will still disagree to perpetuate the issue. Makes no odds Brock...........they think they know better when they know nothing at all............. RP Bit like yourself then.

Not saying that Poole is unique in this respect but it is by no means ideal compared to some other tracks. Buster has already stated he could've had the track racable inside an hour, had the right materials been available, But pleased you explained the problems of drainage being so close to the sea. Am I right in thinking that all properties close to the sea inherit this same problem or do they manage to find a solution.. Kings Lynn is situated in the flattest land in the country and the water level is higher than anywhere else, but that doesn't stop the Stars promotion of overcoming these issues of drainage. The answers are there, to solve these problems. They should have be sorted long ago, waiting till it rains is not the right time. There's posters of here, going on about the amount of rain that fell, but I've seen nothing on the tele about flooded roads in Poole/Dorset or properties under water, so one can only assume everyone else has managed to cope with the rain. Torrential may be, but nothing more that most people can deal with. The biggest problem here is that Poole's track is of bad design, with little or no drainage. Having to rely totally on the weather to run meetings is bad philosophy . We have heard so much from people praising Matt Ford as this wonderful promoter, but this situation has shown him up to be, not as good as those people try to paint...... I believe the BSPA should award this semi- final to Poole to put and end to the ridiculous shenanigans. At least it will save them all the excuses of getting their track sorted, and do away with all the bragging rights they believe is totally theirs.... A season that started out with new ideas, new format, plenty of excitement, has turned into a utter mess....... Can't wait for the season to end.............
