Gavan
The way it has rained here today and the predicted torrential rain for Wednesday I would be very surprised if it goes ahead to be honest............... And Gavan there was solid rain til 2 on Monday from the early hours..........not bad preparation the weather intervened............... RP im not saying the weather wasnt bad. what i am saying was at Swindon it was the same at Kings Lynn before it was the same. The track could have been sorted and it wasnt. Either thats the fault of poor track staff or there wasnt much effort. Whatever way you look at it, it doesnt show Poole Speedway in a good light.
BROCK
The date of the final should be set in stone, it's the pinnacle of the season. Like the ELRC or is that different because it was not at Poole . By the way why was it postponed seems strange especially as it was on Sky and the track wasn't waterlogged. im not saying the weather wasnt bad. what i am saying was at Swindon it was the same at Kings Lynn before it was the same. The track could have been sorted and it wasnt. Either thats the fault of poor track staff or there wasnt much effort. Whatever way you look at it, it doesnt show Poole Speedway in a good light. But KL wasn't the same they had about two hours of rain before the meeting, not eight hours of rain, and they have the advantage of being able to blade off the track onto the centre because it is concrete and the same level as the inside line with no raised curb for the water to collect. As regard to Swindon they had track covers.
stevebrum
Wasn't Gerald Ritcher. Your surmising. Who was it then, you didn't mention the name? I am surmising that the track covers were put down after the hole was prepared, wouldn't want yet another call off or mess up again do we. Were you there?, did you witness what went on during the afternoon, no of course you weren't.. You and many others are just stiring for the sake of it. I suppose when this thread dies someone will start another to keep it going. By the way it rained all last night and has rained all day in Poole so the track is probably waterlogged, and with more rain forccast for Wednesday I can't see it being on then

For the sencond time, you cannot put covers down on a track which is like a pudding or a track that is waterlogged. Even you should know that.. But im not holding my breath.. Stop trying to spin things. You haven't had rain 24/7 since last weeks mess up and the track WILL have had chance to dry to put covers down to protect it for Wednesday. I thought even you had at least one brain cell. I know i`m wrong on the last part tho.
SteveLyric2
Poole has had rain - often torrential - every day since last Monday, so please stop stirring SB - or should that be trolling?! Like Wolves, Poole don't have 24/7 access to the stadium or track, whether there are volunteers available 24/7 or not. If as you say only the people at the track new what went on why do you keep insisting that covers should have been used when you weren't anywhere near the stadium and new nothing of the track condition. At least I live in Poole, new what the weather was like and was at the stadium at 5-30 and could see the work going on. As for the weather we have had one hell of a lot of rain over the last few days with little or no sun to dry the track and as I stated on a previous post it rained most of sunday night and has since rained all day. and is still raining now. I will sign off now as I have to get on with my life, and can't be arsed to respond to any more trolls

Listen to me carefully, the track was a bog last Tuesday, one of the track boys was trying to turn it over with the mesh to dry it out a bit, he was fighting a losing battle. We had a monsoon on Wednesday, it was still a bog on friday, we've had a ton of rain in the last 24 hrs, so what does that tell you? we also have rain forcast Wednesday and Thursday, Clearly you don't have a brain cell between your ears. or you are just on the wind up. I remember you king troll Shovlar telling people on the forum there was no chance of rain in Coventry a couple of seasons ago. I guess you all really know you're weather then. The people watching on Sky know as much as anyone in the stadium. Glad we have cleared it up. Theres no talking to you is there. Poole Quay 7
Stir, stir, stir and yet more stirring ......The only funny thing is he will tell you he doesn't troll or stir, doesn't break forum rules and he probably posts more messages in Poole threads than any Poole supporter and then tell you he isn't obsessed about Poole Speedway! Skidder1, the one who said Tai was probably still p**sed from celebrating the weekend - you are the expert on stirring, or is that trolling?? I know some Poole fans only see things with a blue tint but the use of the Covers IF possible at any stage since the 2nd call off is surely a sensible question to ask? That is assuming your are asking sensible Poole fans.
Sherborne Green
The weather always has a factor in any sport. Unfortunately, speedway is effected far more than others because of the safety concerns. (Rightly so) Each track is different. Some own their own tracks and can make all the distinctions themselves as to when it is available and when it can be worked on. Some have better equipment for track preparation and where they store both equipment and shale. People will always have their own opinions if or not they like the club involved. In the ideal world all clubs would own their own track. Have all the equipment and shale storage area. Plus a centre that is not grass and level with the track. Sorry, this will never happen. October is not the best time for playoffs. Fewer fixtures required to finish at the end of September at the latest. If clubs want to run later look at a ko cup or something else. In the past riders really only rode for one club. They did not ride for Cubs in UK, Poland, Sweden and Denmark. These days will never return as riders need more money for better equipment, staff and everything else. Perhaps the old days were better? Can you not get it into your head, that track would have taken days to dry out, we have since had 24 hrs of rain on top of that, its still raining down here now..Now is that clear and plain English enough for you to understand. YOU CANNOT PUT COVERS ON A WET SODDEN TRACK. My 8 yr old Nephew would understand that, so where does that leave you?? Are you saying we will not get speedway Wednesday now then.As it has been raining today and only really has tomorrow to dry out,and with it forecast to be pretty cool the chances are slim.Maybe the trackman will have to blade it(god help us)and lay a new track tomorrow ready for Wednesday, not forgetting to put covers down on a lovely newly laid track
