Poole Speedway 2014 Elite League Champions !

Recommended Posts

Whenever there is a problem, why is it that POOLE is always the team creating it. ???

I wasn't a Poole hater, but Christ almighty there's only so much one can take.........

You can understand why people have turned their backs on the sport. If it that important to them, to have their name paraded as champions, then let them do so,

But don't lets have all this dirty washing in public. It makes the sport a Laughing stock .............

The only deadline there is is that all matches have to be completed by 31/10 as has always been..........Poole are not moving any goalposts.........Sky are the ones that are trying to move the goalposts by forcing them to run on an unsafe track...........the reasons for what happened Monday and why have been given and was not a deliberate act...........the riders did not want to race........the ref backed the riders as did both sets of management..........to put covers on an already wet track would have made little or no difference to whether tonight went ahead or not.........there are only one set of BSPA approved covers and they were at Swindon on Monday.......not that it did them a lot of good the track was appalling............and today was called off due to torrential rain which went on for most of the afternoon...........I was in Poole earlier today and got caught in several of the downpours.............just accept it and move on...........

As for forfeiting it that is ridiculous...........if it was your team would you be happy to accept that..........I doubt it...........

Safety comes first............it was clear after the downpour (we are talking sheets of rain not just a shower or two) at about 2 pm it would be unlikely to go ahead..........

Some people need to look at their own teams inadequacies before casting aspersions on others.........

RP

Have to change that date next year to something like the 10-15th October to accommodate the wonderful Aus GP!!

Play off dates have been moved before and as long as all fixtures are fulfilled by 31 October as has been the case since the sport started I don't see why everyone has a problem with it............the final dates moving has nothing to do with Poole it has to do with the bad weather on both the days it should have been run...........is that so hard to understand???????????

Grow up and get a life...........you only have to look at how bad the Coventry track has been all season to know what bad track prep is all about............

RP

Agreed, no end of riders have complained about the Coventry track, they need to get that sorted too!!

  • Of course the weather was the problem on Monday if we had not had 8 + hours of rain beforehand the track would have not needed blading.
How hard is that to understand

As for yesterday there is not a track in the country that would got the meeting on,take a look at the pictures

But blading the track should be a formality!! Stop making excuses for Poole's woeful mistake ... Edited by Trees

Wow for the first time since my team folded I am actually thankful that I am not part of this nonsense. The league should be decided by holding the meetings. I can see why Poole fans fire up as some of the anti stuff on here is just pathetic. Hope my team are back next year but not in the Elite League if this section of the forum is a true representation of the fans.

Spot on...............yes next year it will make a difference...........glad I am not the only one who thinks the Coventry track maintenance needs looking at...............blading.........they put their hands up to it being a problem so the anti Poole brigade get over it.............

Like I said before some people need to grow up and get over it..............

The reason why the riders didnt want to ride was due to the hole! Even middlo said this on tv, the track was fine apart from the bloody hole! Stop making ridiculous excuses for what clearly is a blatant fiddle in order to give themselves a better team to ride! How hard is it to see

You are either another poster in Discuise, or you are very deluded.

reckon already set up for Poole to win the 2014 Elite league speedway title

Goal posts moved yet again to accommodate those who can (allegedly) provide back handers to ensure the "mighty" Dorset cliche achieve their aim.

Whether you've put Alledgedly or not, your on dodgy ground there mate. you are just purely Speculatiing. Yet another poole hater with 2 massive chips on your shoulders. Perhaps we'l give you something else to moan about through the winter in a couple of weeks time.

I think Coventry will win and tbh I would rather they win just on the fact that I am not a big fan of teams with guests winning titles not that it is Poole's fault (except for their captain obviously).

As long as the speedway is great it should be an entertaining final providing the weather doesn't intervene.

I have said it before and I will say it again.

Matt Ford cant control a weather forecast and neither could anyone else for that matter. If we could then we would have summertime all the time lol.

The first meeting was postponed because of an un-expected down pour of rain and BOTH sets of riders agreed not to ride.

As for try number 2 we have seen pictures and that's that.

I know many hate Poole and M. Ford because of there success but weather you like it or not you have to give credit where credit is due.

We have said it before and we will say it again

The weather forecast on Monday had ef all to do with it.

A poorly prepared track coupled with a lack of effort made Monday a postponement.

Kings Lynn and Swindon got meetings on with lots of effort. Poole didnt. End of

You completely wrong - I ain't got 2 massive chips on my shoulders - where Poole speedway are concerned I got loads more than just just 2 (allegedly !!).

So what happens Wednesday evening when the meeting called of for a third time. will it be down to a coin toss - if so am sure Mr Ford will provide the "lucky" double headed coin.

The way it has rained here today and the predicted torrential rain for Wednesday I would be very surprised if it goes ahead to be honest...............

And Gavan there was solid rain til 2 on Monday from the early hours..........not bad preparation the weather intervened...............
