screm
just shows what a sad state of affairs the GPs are in when a old crusty wins it. The prestige that was attached to being speedway world champion has long gone. Rubbish, the best rider on the night won it. Hancock is still one of the top riders in the World.

Paulco
Going back to the Masters / Pedersen confrontation , it's about time mechanics stuck to just readying the bikes , seems they all think they are their rider's minder as well . Agree with you, probably not the done thing but I dont mind the riders having a bit of a punch up now and then but no way should mechanics be getting involved. Maybe to many people in the GP pits, Monster Joe for one, why does he need to be in there.

Interesting article. http://www.theherald.com.au/story/3449048/sam-masters-why-i-had-to-fight/?cs=306 a case of who do you believe?, but it was masters who threw his dummy out of the pram to start with..in the wrong sport if he thought that was hard riding......no nicki fan, but he did very little wrong in that race

Tsunami
He missed the bit where he acted like a 5 year old And not for the first time in his career. He has incidents at Redcar(Lasse) and twice at Newcastle(Larsen and Ludde), when his whinging indicated that he can't accept reality, and wants to moan and do something he shouldn't do. No doubt the Monarchs Press Officer will be on here shortly to cover the Grinners back for him. Time for the Grinner to grow up.
Pirate Nick
interesting because What he says about the mechanic (physically) isnt true looking at the footage you posted earlier.Tbf whilst I don't agree with Masters actions it did look to me like the mechanic pushed him first. This doesn't excuse his actions but, for me anyway, raises the question as to what business was was it of the mechanic being in Masters face. IMO the mechanic should be fined as well as Masters and also the little hero from Nickis crew who jumped on the back of the stewards pretending to try and reach Masters. Pit crew have no business getting involved. But I'm with SCB on this one a bit of handbags between the riders does wonders for the atmosphere 😉
Lord Skid
If that was Masters idea of fighting, he really needs to pick his opponents carefully, otherwise he will certainly take some beatings at PL level.

Pedersen looked like he couldn't even be arsed with Masters. IMHO, Masters was just trying to make a name for himself and/or get in with the rider "in crowd". Wouldn't have done the same to Woffy or Hancock if either had done the same as Pedersen. Not that they probably would. I can remember Masters parking his Bike across the Track whilst the Race continued at Newcastle a few years back - very dangerous to the other Riders. I have never liked him since. Triple.H.
I think you've hit the nail on the head. And it's all very well people saying the Ethiad is contractually responsible for doing the promotion, but they wouldn't know much about speedway and surely the series organisers should have a role as well. . Totally correct the rights holders with their pedigree in a host of sports must have a hefty clout when it comes to getting media coverage.Let's face it Holder,Woffy,Hancock,Doyle and DN shouldve been on every local radio and TV sports bulletin not all at once just a quick minute or 2 interview with one of them and varying it through the day with competions to win free tickets.
orion
I for one thought the racing dished up from Melbourne was far better then the usual we get from Cardiff. I thought it was amazing SGP, probably the most superior temporary track I've seen. Each race was of the highest quality and every rider had a chance of winning. Sure the crowd didn't compare with those of Cardiff, but give it a year or two and this this be the daddy of the all. Brilliant Venue, Brilliant track, brilliant racing. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting...... NB... To think they're posters on here who think Greg Hancock is boring. To me he's top draw. When Woffy does those sublime passes, the world raves at them. But when Hancock makes them unbelievable moves, you don't hear a word..... No, he was a deserving winner..... I never seen Hancock make a unbelievable move ..unless you count making the gate every race zzzzz
