SteveLyric2
How long can the saga with AM go on. Should we replace him & if so, who with? It may even be that the BSPA are not going to allow his re-declaration as the replacement on Thursday night is for Kildeman & not Adrian. If so we would only have 6.86 to play with. To replace Adrian, it might have to be a re-declaration with one of the 7 point riders going, bearing in mind the riders available. You can replace one rider on a like-for-like basis and still keep more than 3 riders of 7+ points. However if you make more than one change at the same time (ie a redeclaration), you can only have 2 x 7+ point riders in a 34 point team! Grachan
Apart from the umber one issue it's clear where Swindon's main problem lies, and that is at reserve. If you swap the reserve results round and have Swindon reserves taking the positions the Belle Vue reserves took in races, then Swindon would have won 49-41 by my reckoning.
severnsider
Seems like Adrian has recovered enough to ride more than one time per week now seeing he is listed as riding in Czech league match tonight. http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/529036/adrian-miedzinski-i-norbert-kosciuch-wystapia-w-czechach-zapowiedz-4-rundy-czesk
BritPete
AM was one of the worst signings in our history. I could not believe it when Rosco signed the underhanded treacherous Pole!

BritPete
I made Leicester or Swindon favourites for getting Darcy Ward, but with Leicester signing Swidders, does that rule out Leicester? If so, then I know who my money would be on!

mdmc82
Taken from the Swindon advertiser SWINDON Robins will be hoping to be at the front of the queue to land Darcy Ward if he decides to make a return to British speedway according to promoter Colin Pratt. However, Swindon are not the only club looking to secure the services of the 23-year-old and Pratt says that the Robins will have to keep their finger on the pulse to secure his services should he return to Britain this season. We're looking into the number one situation at the moment, said Pratt, who indicated there would have to be two changes made to the team if Ward was to ride for Swindon. "The only name that keeps coming up at the moment is Darcy Ward. If it was him, depending on what his averages come up with, I think Rosco (Alun Rossiter) is working at the moment on the averages and sometimes it is rumoured that you have to take two out to get two in. I think there are two or three clubs that are looking into him and whether they can fit him in or not, but at the moment it is just talking to Rosco. We just have to make sure we keep our ear to the ground and make sure we are first in line if something comes up that we reckon is a benefit to Swindon. (He wasn't wrong about Rosco "working on the averages"😉) Edited June 23, 2015 by mdmc82
Steve0
It also looks like Lakeside are serious contenders (as alluded to by Skidder in a post yesterday): http://totalswindonsport.com/2015/06/robins-face-a-battle-to-secure-ward-signature/
mdmc82
It also looks like Lakeside are serious contenders (as alluded to by Skidder in a post yesterday): http://totalswindonsport.com/2015/06/robins-face-a-battle-to-secure-ward-signature/ The 4 teams that had been suggested on various social media sites for a while were Lakeside, Swindon, Leicester & Wolves. As I mentioned previously, AJ is said to want to focus on abroad commitments. Leicester is rumoured to be the club he's ruled out. However who would he replace at Wolves? Think it's a 2 horse race between Swindon & Lakeside. (Lakeside could do a like for like swap or redeclare if for AJ) Edited June 23, 2015 by mdmc82
Gloves
Surely Robins fans don't want Darcy Ward in their team after all the criticism they have made about him on this site!!! I reckon he is going to Lakeside.
Grachan
I'd gladly have him in the side but not if we had to drop someone to fit him in. He won't be back next year wherever he goes and will probably ride to average below 7. But if he fits straight in, sure. Worth a go.
