Swindon 2015

So the 'secret trial' for Tomasz Musielak has hit the sports pages of the national press!!

Wasn't he in the Swindon starting line-up a couple of seasons back - before he was independently assessed as a 6 point newcomer, around the same time that Piotr Pawlicki was reassessed as a 7 pointer??

I thought everyone knew that young Musielak was over here for the Bob Kilby meeting etc..

And please don't assume that other teams cheat, it's just your mob !. :D .:wink::D

Thats a really good video, I like the rider he was having couple of practices at arlington before the season I thought we may have been gambling on him but it wasnt to be. He looked pretty good for a new pole around arlington. And hes travelled to swindon and wolves so clearly wanting to give a british league a go.

I think he looks a fine prospect, has good attitude and equipment. Given that his spanner man should have a good knowledge of Blunsdon and most Elite League set ups, I think he should be worth a punt.

But of course it all depends on points limits, format and assessed average attributed!

Lets hope its a a minimum 5, as Milik proved he is too good to be a 4.

The minimum bar really needs to be raised particularly as we seem to be weakening the EL on a yearly basis.

I do not have the knowledge of his history or scoring record elsewhere to comment, but agree that Milik was always a mockery on 4, but no matter what the assessment method is there will always be the odd one who gets a false average (strange how they usually seem to ride in Blue & White though lol).

Let's hope the rules agreed are fair and adhered to by all and 2015 is a better season for the sport.

Wasn't Musielak and his pit crew wearing blue and white?? :D:wink:

Looks jolly good, very professional, hope he signs for someone anyways and look forward to seeing him at Lynn. Perhaps oughta start on a 6 average!

He's already been assessed at 6 points, a couple of seasons ago - so if there is any re-assessment, bearing in mind he now has a couple more years experience in Europe, then it should logically be increased!!!? :D

I've changed my mind, let any team other than Poole have him on a 4!!!!!!!

Think its common knowledge that most thought Milik (one of the best new and upcoming riders) was a mockery on an assessed 4.

However the procedure for assessment is the fault and that is something that needs looking at, particularly when we are weakening the EL we cant keep assessing young newcomers on a 4 because they have limited experience in other countries.

If they are good enough to race in the U21 Championship Finals then they are good enough to attain a 5 point assessed average - IMHO.

Milik is a perfect example of that reason.

And NO, this isn't a go at Poole so PLEASE don't start quoting it as such.

Its about the assessment of new riders now being outdated.

So if he comes in will it be as a 6 pointer?? honest question..........?

Realistically I would like to see both Musielak and Wozniak come in on 5.00 averages (whoever the former may ride for)..

If team averages are increased significantly then perhaps 6.00 would be fair (unlike Milik last year).

What I don't want to see is the further weakening of the EL and the thought of 3 FTD riders per team in 2015 is a non-starter for me - I'd much sooner go PL.. :t:

Detail all seems a little sketchy but what Rosco says about visas here is a little worrying for speedway http://www.swindonlinksport.com/swindon_sports_news/roscovisas

Is it just the closure of a loophole that has been exploited? He also says Swindon will be fine, which I guess is because Nick Morris has a British passport and Batchelor/Doyle are competing at World Championship level, so visas shouldn't be an issue.

Guessing this means riders like North, Fricke, the Kurtz boys etc might be in a spot of bother?
