noggin
People have been watching speedway for years and there has been guests who help clubs win things so not sure what the big deal is . Speedway will never like any other sport so not sure why people try to compare the rules to football etc IMO Guests shouldn't get a medal for riding two matches, celebrate the win fair enough, but the riders who helped the team reach play-offs should get a medal if they've ridden say a certain percentage.... atleast 50% seems fair to me.

BluPanther
i think you'll find that the medals were handed back by all accounts, handed out for publicity shots that's all... That seems the logical thing to do, i expect the medals went to the injured riders in the Poole 1-7. Guests have always been around in Speedway, all the fuss about Troy and Nick is probably because they rode for the Pirates imo...
noggin
i think you'll find that the medals were handed back by all accounts, handed out for publicity shots that's all... Quite likely, fair enough if that's the case.
Grachan
i think you'll find that the medals were handed back by all accounts, handed out for publicity shots that's all... Also, I noticed when watching on TV that the riders were lining up for their medals and Nick Morris actually broke rank and walked away just as they were about to get to him. He was obviously given it later for the pictures.
EnglishRoundabout
I thought Nick looked a bit awkward during the celebrations. It would be good to see him back at Blunsdon next year. He needs to step up full time in the EL and maybe get the odd Polish gig.
YerRopes
Just catching up and am most distressed that it seems likely that Killer is not going to ride for the Robins next year - he is generally worth the hefty admission price alone.. Of this year's team I'd like to keep Steve Worrall, but isn't he a BV asset now, I'd also like to see Dak back too - but is his average too high ? As for the rest, Kid Morra is probably worth another go, but I'm ambivalent to Troy for next year.. TBH, I don't mind if the Robin's start from scratch.particularly as no-one knows what the 'jokers' at the November AGM will come up with this time. Am also sorry to hear too that the BHam Brummies are no more..
MattK
Problem is, if we do start from scratch, who would be available. The pool of quality riders prepared to come to the UK seems to get smaller by the year. If Kildemand rules himself out and Batchelor/Doyle due to their GP commitment, it doesn't leave many options left.
frigbo
Absolutely spot on orion, I don't get all this hysteria around guests....... Yes guests have been around a long time and perhaps they are a necessary evil. However, the system was completely out of control this season. There are some stats in a thread somewhere which show only 20 or so matches were completed with the correct 14 riders........that's a farce! Woz01
Absolutely spot on orion, I don't get all this hysteria around guests....... Its was ok when it was only needed occasionally but now it's every meeting where a rider is missing.
SteveLyric2
So looks like no Killer next year according to Linksport. Is it possible that the special one is taking an interest inTobias Musielak? So the 'secret trial' for Tomasz Musielak has hit the sports pages of the national press!! Wasn't he in the Swindon starting line-up a couple of seasons back - before he was independently assessed as a 6 point newcomer, around the same time that Piotr Pawlicki was reassessed as a 7 pointer?? Is he better than his brother Tobias.... Pity, BK was called off. Would have liked to seen TM in action. I am guessing Rosco is looking at him as an option for next season. I think we all agree that it's a problem ..But intill someone comes up with a better idea that is workable then what can we do ?

TesarRacing
What secret trial was this Skidder? It was that secret that even 'Tomasz' Musielak didn't know about it!!!
ghcooke
What secret trial was this Skidder? Not a secret trial, but he was already well on his way to Swindon for the abandoned Bob KIlby meeting and it seemed churlish not to let him practice after he'd come all that way. The full record of his brief visit can be found in last week's edition of the Blunsdon Blog : http://blunsdonblog.co.uk/?page_id=8306 I'm pretty sure the photos of him on the track are the only ones available. ghcooke
Check out the Video posted recently on You Tube. I'll put link on blog tomorrow but if you can't wait search You Tube for Musielak and it's the most recent posting.
