Swindon 2015

Those who simply go to speedway to enjoy the racing and don't follow politics of it all will be happy because he's decent to watch on his day. A lot of people will not know or remember what happened with Poole unless they read it all whipped up in the press if he signs.

But yeah, loads on here won't be happy no doubt.

Who would 'whip it up' in the press? And what Press?

Happy with the signing of Zengota, another who can improve his average significantly.

As I said yesterday, if Miedzinski is to be the final piece of the jigsaw then I believe we'll be in the mix for Playoffs again. What happened has happened. He's a good rider with proven points scoring ability which is what the Robins need to finish the team off.

Howarth only showed any form from September onwards last year...his performances for Workington do not show much improvement and i think in the kind of side we have nearly built i.e strength in depth possibly he could be a weak link..its my concern and not an attempt to slag Kyle off but we needed 3 riders of Zengota/Morris points scoring to be anywhere near the playoffs

Apart from the obvious previous those considering Miedzinski should remember he only did a short contract for Poole in 2012, when his average increased substantially, because of pressure from Torun. I would think its likely that he won't commit to a full season again and an alternative may be needed as early as May. Riders struggling in the GP may then see UK as a viable option and that might even include Woffy.

Not overly convinced AM will live up to his 8.21 quite now....Troy needs to cut out his silly rides where he gives up a bit especially away as he is 100% committed at the Abbey ...if Zengi hits the type of form he showed late in Europe last year that will help a lot but Nick really has to maintain more consistency and not ride in blocks of great from and poor form which he does year in year out..almost like his heart drops a bit at certain times of the year ..he certainly has bags of natural ability and when he's on it can beat the best but then can have a 6 week spell where he looks inept...Kyle im concerned with or more the fact a lot of fans are just remembering the P/O semi's and think all of a sudden hes a world cup pick!

Torun put no pressure on Miedzinski. It was purely his decision - in fact staying on longer than originally planned to assist Poole at the time!

He is quoted (by Matt Ford) as wanting to commit to a full UK season, so MF referred him first to Rosco for whom he's an asset. If Rosco doesn't want to use him (or AM doesn't want to ride for Swindon) then there are other clubs that can still use him, including Poole!!

Dont get your reasoning TNT. Howarth is improving all the time was clearly one of the stand out riders in last season's playoffs and I would rather have him especially as a progressive young Englishman than jk or mads who are on the decline. Imo

Agree he had a very good season and did progress and show signs of what he could be, but nothing against him its just with a potential #1 on 7.58 then you need four 6+ riders behind him like Morris, Zengota, Kylmakorpi and even Smolinski/Bjarne etc

Where do you get Pedersen's average from? Last I can see is from 2007 - 10.46

Exactly, Kyle is fine but if you don't take a pea shooter to a gun battle do you

I think you've summed things up quite well there.

The only thing I'll add is that Miedzinski almost certainly would drop a bit on his average but Miedzisnki starting on 8.2 and dropping to 7.5 it better than signing a 6.5 rider who gets 6.5. I don't see anyone else out there who will average what Miedzinski will that is realistically going to ride EL.

Think Zengota is a good signing and with only 8.69 left rules out any lingering hope of Darcy lining up. Looks like its Miedzinski to me which may not be a crowd pleaser!!

No one expected Darcy to be at Swindon - except Poole fans trying to stir it!

Personally, I will have no problem with Mirdzinski back at Swindon as long as he is committed and wants to be there. The business with going to Poole is history and he made a business decision to work where suited him best back then, we need to move on!

I'm not convinced yet it will be him, but I have a strong suspicion it will be a big name Pole, let's hope we find out one way or t'other soon.

And I think Zengi may prove a shrewd signing, he's professional, good equipment and of an age now to push on in the UK as he did in Poland and Sweden last year.

This season could go either way, but let's try to be positive 👍

I think Grzegorz Zengota is a good signing for Swindon, at 26 he is still young and improving so there is much more to come for sure. I really enjoyed watching him at Coventry, he always turned up, was a good racer who could pop out the start and also come from the back which he showed in some good races. He was also popular with the fans at Coventry and most of us would have welcomed him back. I hope Zengi has a good season with the Robins and I look forward to the Coventry meetings!
