thecoombdog
Was chatting to a bloke today who's connected to the club and he reckons Doyley didn't sign as he wanted the same pay deal as Leigh Adams and 2 new sponsors. Makes you wonder how Leicester can afford him then. Heard that was the reason he wasnt included in the 2014 team as well. Good luck to him at the end of the day. Short career so gotta earn the coin whilst you can.
SteveLyric2
Good luck trying to get £30k for Doyley!! If Doyley does well or even wins the Aussie final before the arbitration panel meet, that could affect the final valuation?!

If you really need an answer to that then you really don't know Swindon speedway very well.!!!!

But that's Swindon's problem, not Doyle's. As long as he can find another club of course.
theblueboy
But that's Swindon's problem, not Doyle's. As long as he can find another club of course. Not really. LA was revered at Swindon, Masarna and Leszno. Genuine world class, superb team rider and top of his profession for nearly 20 years. Doyle isn't fit to clean his kevlars in comparison.

Which he has done but do you really think Jason who has averaged mid 8's at best for 2 seasons deserved the same money as Leigh who averaged 9-10 & more for 10 seasons as I don't?. Swindon's old promotor got them in financial difficulty & now the club can only pay what it can to stay stable. If I had my way I'd want the club to go into the Premier League as the Elite League is just a joke now anyway.
Agrotron
Chris Holder 6th in Australian Championships in Gillman. 1. Jason Doyle - 14 (2,3,3,3,3) + 1st in Final A2. Justin Sedgmen - 11 (2,3,3,2,1) + 1st in Final B + 2nd in Final A 3. Rohan Tungate - 14 (3,3,3,3,2) + 3rd in Final A6. Chris Holder - 8 (2,0,1,2,3) + 3rd in Final B

Leigh was consistently averaging high 9 and 10 when the league was far stronger, Doyle is a decent rider but a true Legend he ain't.

Good luck to him but certainly not in the same league as the legend that is Leigh Leigh Leigh Adams! T.N.T.
No one has said Doyle is anything like Adams, the only thing is Doyle seems to have wanted a deal something like that Adams was on 5 years or so ago. If Adams was riding today he would have wanted more that that knowing he has to face two heat leaders in most of the races these days and for a rider to increase his average to 8.44 in that format may well deserve a contract that is five years old. Trouble is Swindon are now in the same boat as Leicester and Wolves in trying to find another heat leader. However Swindon really need a #1 while Leicester and Wolves are looking for a second heat leader. Kildemand obviously is sticking to his plan of not riding here and apparent talks with Emil seem to have come to nothing. (Emil would have wanted a lot more than what Adams was on 5 years ago) so who is left ? Adrian Meidzinski 8.24 has been quoted as saying he would consider a season here again but he didn't want Swindon last time and it was Matt Ford he approached this time and not Swindon so would he be made welcome or indeed considered ? He could also be a target for Leicester as Doyle and Meidzinski are Torun team mates this season and could travel to meetings each week together. Martin Smolinski 7.54 would be an option as the second heat leader maybe ? ...... Maciej Janowski 7.50 if not required at Poole and/or even Shamek Pawlicki 6.75 who both have had dealings with Rosco before but is that strong enough to lead the team unless they can make it a powerful top five but they already have Howarth 5.27 so that is a non starter too. At present Swindon look to be the team struggling more than others to get a strong team together and along with Wolves and Leicester look to be the three teams that maybe starting as the underdogs in 2015

Or have you just made it up from any misinformation posted on here? And anyone who thinks that Martin Smolinski should be considered for a second heat leader role really needs to take their medication!

At present Swindon look to be the team struggling more than others to get a strong team together I said they look not know they are, two different things so if you know they are signing a top class rider to be #1 then great but the options do LOOK to be getting a little sparce at the moment As for Smolinski, not my choice of rider too but he is a 7+ rider and they are not many left are there with Bjarne, Pawlicki and Woffy not returning

I'm sure I've read somewhere that Smolinksi is only riding in the German league in order to concentrate on GP qualification.

SCB
Doyle has a job. Swindon don't have a team. It suggests that Swindons wage offers are wrong rather than Doyles demands. He's found someone to meet them, Swindon can't find a number 1 for the money they're offering. Some of the comments aimed at Doyle on here are between hillereous and pathetic. You'd all love him had Swindon met his demands. Edited January 3, 2015 by SCB
