65Sarge
What a good idea, will probably fall on deaf ears at Government level, but at least it is showing unity and common sense. MattK
Ridiculous idea which will never become legislation.
Crazy robin
Russell Lanning does a regular speedway column in the Sun - usually on a Saturday and often in the week, when there is decent news!! I must admit though I was surprised (not to say shocked) to see Rosco's pic!! Which of them doesn't have a Polish team?!! As a Liverpool fan I won't buy the Sun so only came across it by a real chance at work. Rosco must have been on a detox over Christmas as he looked 10 years younger & 3 stone lighter.

T.N.T.
The job share option would only really work if only one was a GP rider but this was only put forward to try and help Tai Woffinden stay in British Speedway and at Wolverhampton where he would (or could) have shared the role with Piotr Pawlicki but once Tai opted out (or Wolves didn't want it) then it's a dead duck. Swindon look to be in the same boat as Wolves and Leicester now in trying to attract a second heat leader and while it isn't even 2015 yet, with other teams nearly full, it is getting a little worrying looking at what is left on the shelves after the sales. !! Why? If it's available to Wolves then surely it has to be available to everyone.
T.N.T.
Why? If it's available to Wolves then surely it has to be available to everyone. The only time it has ever been mentioned was involving Tai so it seems that had an offer been made to Tai it was on the basis they didn't want the last British World Champion and twice British Champion to miss the entire season and such an offer could have at least seen him do roughly 14 meetings here which is roughly what he was asking for. The offer doesn't seem to be around anymore so obviously it's not open for Ward/Holder or Kildemand/Jasnowski etc
van wolfswinkel
My bruv in Adelaide was at the South Australian Champs yesterday chatting to North Dakota and Doyley(the winner), both said wouldn't ride for The Robins after fall-outs with Emperor Rosco. No doubt there is a lot that goes on behind closed doors the fans know nothing about... But where there's smoke, there usually is a fire of some description..... Shame really.... Pity all clubs can't be run properly and everything was in the open...

(If Tai had gone with the job share option then it would have been available to all EL clubs then!!) My bruv in Adelaide was at the South Australian Champs yesterday chatting to North Dakota and Doyley(the winner), both said wouldn't ride for The Robins after fall-outs with Emperor Rosco. Yes but Doyley also fell out with Poole (hence the Doyle/Janowski swap) so it can't all be down to Rosco!!

Mate, I've no axe to grind with Swindon, and relate only to what I hear. It wasn't long ago that Hans Andersen was in the news for all the wrong reasons, apparently withholding his services because of payment issues with Swindon. .. Makes one think doesn't it....... It cant all be wrong, especially when you don't hear much defence coming from your club. Probably Dakota North is not everyone's cup of tea, but he sure was Swindon's saviour last year... Like I say!!!!! when there's smoke, there is usually a fire of some description........ ?????

All clubs in sport yet along just speedway have fallouts, not everyone sings from the same hymn sheet & far too many egos are involved. The way you keep harping on about this appears to suggest that you do have an issue with Swindon. Probably dates back from the time that we wiped the floor with you at your place & Charlie Gedde broke the track record!

Dakota North & Doyley both have a history of falling out with teams so nothing really to worry about there. Yes we all know there were big problems when a certain promotor was at Swindon but all money was paid on time last season. Why should the club defend themselves against riders who are no longer here?.

Best just stick to the facts as they are now and keep your imagination (and smoke) in check Also, I have to disagree about Dakota North being Swindon's saviour last season - yes he raised his average but he went missing in the playoff semis!

DunRobin
Dak went missing in play offs as deal with Poole was already done or is that wrong to say that!! At the very least, he would certainly have deserved the hairdryer treatment for his pathetic show in the p/o semi's. didn't look interested. Although it has to be said, he wasn't alone when push came to shove in those meetings. Swindon do have a reputation for not paying their riders though. Are you really a Swindon supporter, you seem to love having a dig at our promotion & praising up Poole. When the spectators stay away in numbers, as they have done in the past few seasons, any club would struggle with payments. You would think that we were bottom of the league at times, when you looked at the attendance. The football club have been having the same problem in a season when some of the best football in many a year is to be seen at the County Ground. It seems that too many people are willing to part with their money to Sky & stay at home in the warm.
