YerRopes
Maybe the rules may change. Batch is always a let down dont know why but he can be very hot and cold. It would make sense for this rule to be scrapped as it complicates team building especially with the current dearth of riders
BritPete
I think it's time Batch was booted out. He has never shown good consistent form since he's been here. Doyle would be a far better option, but would it happen?
MattK
It would make sense for this rule to be scrapped as it complicates team building especially with the current dearth of riders Why would it be dropped if there's a dearth of riders? The rule is designed to stop clubs hoovering up all the top talent. If anything the rule is likely to be reduced in line with a drop in the team building limit to 32. Say it is reduced to "two over 6.5", only two clubs, Poole and Swindon, wouldn't comply with their existing line-ups. I think it's time Batch was booted out. He has never shown good consistent form since he's been here. Doyle would be a far better option, but would it happen? The questions we have to ask ourselves are "why would Doyle leave Leicester" and "why would Leicester let Doyle leave"?

Revert to the one over 8 ruling then.. The dearth of riders should allow for flexibility in team building !
Reliant Robin
The questions we have to ask ourselves are "why would Doyle leave Leicester" and "why would Leicester let Doyle leave"? 1. Due to the Saturday race night not fitting with his schedule 2. Not their choice really...they pulled out of the transfer...if they were not prepared to let him leave then they should have finalised it when they had a chance
MattK
Revert to the one over 8 ruling then.. The dearth of riders should allow for flexibility in team building ! There are only three riders in the league with an average over eight. "Top" riders are now averaging around 7-ish, therefore if you want to spread those riders equally around clubs that's the benchmark where the rule needs to be set.

Or you could lower the points limit by 2-3 points and there will be plenty of riders to share around but still allowing teams to sign 4 7.01 riders if thats the route they'd like to go down! At the end of the day it comes down to money. Leicester will break the bank to sign Doyle as they don't really have an alternative #1 and they have far more financial clout than we do. SteveLyric2
Jason has said himself that regular Saturday racing puts a big strain on everything - especially travelling. His Polish League form has been less than good!! I expect many teams with 'visa' riders in their 2016 plans will confirm/announce signings much sooner than previously!! But isn't that what everyone - riders and fans especially - have been clamouring for in past years?!

It comes down to schedule as well, and a Saturday race night makes it tough for Jason, has said so himself. I expect Doyley to be first on the team sheet for 2016 at Swindon....I don't think the difference in financial clout that you mention is there either.

Let's play Fantasy Speedway Team for a few months before we start having to play Fantasy Speedway Stadium!
SteveLyric2
Why would riders sign/be signed if there was nowhere to hold meetings?

Crazy robin
The performance from Hans tonight showed how he can raise his game in the play offs.
waiheke1
I know batch isn't that popular at the moment, bur surely looking at averages he and killer would be the two riders you aim to retain. Add Doyle and Andersen you'd have an excellent top four, with a Summers type rider to round out the five.
Game On
The performance from Hans tonight showed how he can raise his game in the play offs.Must admit Hans has been a pleasure to watch over the last month or so, just a shame he didn't start like he finished the season. Crazy robin
The first name on Rosco's team sheet will always be Nick Morris Nothing wrong with that in my eyes as Nick hasn't had the luxury of riding as a 2nd string much the last 2 seasons. That is why I give him the edge over Zengi if it was a straight choice in 2016.
thecoombdog
The first name on Rosco's team sheet will always be Nick Morris So it should be as well. Robins asset and improving every season. His injuries mid season have meant his average has lowered which is good for us. Morris, Doyley and Killer/Hans as our top 3 next season.
