Swindon 2015

Recommended Posts

I don't understand this view that Howarth has a point to prove. Even he can't think it was wrong to keep Zengi over him!! Zengi was scoring double figures every week and still is now. Kyle is a top lad and I'm sure he knows in his head that Rosco was spot on. If anyone was to blame it's an unreliable Pole we signed at number 1 who messed up the whole team structure!

If Troy is your biggest (only?) worry then you're in a good place! Try having Kylamkorpi injured, King not 100% and up and down at the best of times, Hans Andersen in 2015 mode, Howarth who could score 3 or 14 and Garrity who could wipe himself, his teams mates and the opposition out at any time! Admittedly, you could flip that for us to Bomber loves a big meeting or ride (GPs aside), Joonas is up and down so will hopefully be up, King has generally performed well this season, Hans as a second string should be a secret weapon (counteracted by Kildemand but then he's Garrity at a higher level), Howarth has a point to prove to Swindon and Poole and ride BV well, Garrity is the best draft reserve no his day and Sarj is the best tier 2 draft rider.

These play-offs are the first time when all 4 teams actually stand a fair chance of winning them. And frankly, whoever finishes 5th could have probably had a good go too!

Better off without Kylmakorpi, he had a good start but has tailed off lately, King has been scoring well for his PL team so should be ok, Troy will be terrible if the track is slightly damp, should be a good close meeting with Coventry edging it with your power packed reserves.

Surely a tongue in cheek comment that we are best without Joonas, who has been scoring double figures in 3 of his last 4 home meetings as a heat leader 😂

Last 6 meeting (all at heat leader. And 3 home and 3 away) average of 7.54 (7.85 with bonus points) vs season long average of 6.77 (7.45) suggests he's riding slightly better in recent weeks than previously. If recent you mean last 2 meeting then he is only averaging 3.5 :D

Danny King is the worry based on form. Same 6 meetings, averaging 3.27 (4.00)

Well done to the Robins riders & especially Rosco getting into the play offs again, who has had a lot to deal with this season with injuries etc & team changes but he's got every move spot on especially Darcy, Rob coming in for Lewis & his guest choices when Nick & others were injured.

It would be very wrong not to mention what Darcy did to as well both on & off the track with fans & raising the efforts of his fellow Robin riders in his short time as a Robin:-)

Spot on! Have you got the lottery numbers for this week?! ;)

My worry for the Robibs' run in is Troy, he doesn't look to be attacking the track at all these days especially if it's in anything other than perfect conditions.

Does anyone else have similar concerns or is it just me?

Yes Troyboy should be up there in the top 8 with fellow GP riders such as Iversen Doyley Janowski even Bomber. Poor display at Cov at number 1. Darce was probably better skipper material than Troy, and seemed to motivate the riders more.

Zengy has had a great season.

A massive thanks for Darce for getting The Robibs into the play-offs, such a shame what has happened to this great young talent.

Poole, Aces final then unless Coventry make a new signing this week.

Looks that way. Swindon definitely the underdogs against the flying Aces now that we've lost our number one.

Hang on, BV may have lost their number 1 as well.

Ah well, in that case an easy win for the Mighty Robins then.

Belle Vue Swindon is a proper 50/50 IMO. They smashed us at our place and we were lucky to get a point there 2nd time around. Having said that we should have won the first meeting at their place and there must be a doubt about the fitness of Zagar. I'm not expecting to lose but i'm not confident of victory either!
