Swindon 2015

Worrall doesn't fit as he has an EL average. I'd be looking at getting one of the others in if I was Rosco. Krucmar should have been a safe signing but it looks like he's a dud, similar to Sitera a few years back for Coventry, just never lived up to the hype but somehow kept being brought back!

What's Summers EL average?

Dunno whats wrong with Troyboy this season...as big a disappointment as Kenneth Bjerre. Was in top 6 EL averages with Peterboro a few years ago, now not in top 25, very poor for a GP rider supposedly the top 15 in world. Seems to lack conviction in some race battles and just rides instead of races.

The skip needs to being doing a lot better if Roobins are to get into the play-offs. Time must be running out for Krcmar.Full credit to the club for signing Wardy after the Meidzinski farce, otherwise the season would be over by now.

The fans would probably feel more confident if and when the new stadium starts to be constructed and the future looks more secure. We are told will start this month, then next month, then next month... we need to know whats going on...houses now encroaching the current Abbey.

Seems a bit strange that we are wasting one of Branford's three remaining appearances on the trip to Lakeside where we got smashed earlier in the season.

I'd have saved him for a couple of our remaining home meetings and maybe the away trip to BV, which will be a genuine six-pointer (or is it 7-pointer?)

Maybe a better guest may be available for those meetings and this is a chance albeit a slim one of getting a point.

The latest building / demolition work at Blunsdon yesterday is recorded in the latest blog in the Blunsdon Blog. http://blunsdonblog.co.uk/?page_id=10015

These houses go up very fast these days and as from two weeks time at the meeting with Coventry the home pits and away pits will be in the garages of numbers 10 and 12 of new road of houses they are starting to build today.

get some toolboxes, pressure washers, some oil drip mats and some shelving in quick - they'll make decent workshops!!!:D

What is it they say? 'Possession is nine tenths of the law'!! :D

Unfortunately, you may be right, the Abbey stadium seems to be in the possession of the house builders at present. I feel increasingly doubtful that there will be any speedway at Blunsdon next season.:sad::sad:

Seems the penny is slowly dropping for more and more people each week.

Have there been any updates from the club with regards to when the new stadium should be started/open and also what happens next year if it's not done?

With it now being the latter stages of this season, I think fans should be asking those questions to those associated with the club.

There was talk of the situation where they wanted to build during the season, and the idea was that they would shorten the track to allow building across bend one, but I would imagine they could also build all the track and leave the banking next to the present bend 1 until the new stadium is open. It is getting a bit of concern though as it should have been started by now.

No problems, just using the house holders garages as pits.

@SwindonSpeedway: BREAKING NEWS: We have signed ROB BRANFORD as a short term replacement for Lewis Rose. Full details to follow on our website soon.

Any news on when Rose is due to return from injury? Branford could be good for a few points to back up Wright.

Due to fixture clashes with Edinburgh, the only fixtures he should miss will be home to King's Lynn and away to Coventry so that shouldn't be a problem

So if he's a temporary signing I assume they will have to revert back when Rose is fit as Branford is listed as guesting only on the latest Greensheets.

They have said on the web-site that Rose will be back in once he's fit but unsure of the time-frame due to type of injury. Branford was guesting only on FTD riders at his own request but has now intimated that he would be agreeable to a fulltime position now.

I think he should do okay at home. Not convinced so much away But should do enough to back up Wright. any news on how Wright now is after his injury?

Rose said he was out for 4 weeks from when he had the cast on which would mean a return 21st August. However I think a lot will depend on how it heals and when he feels ready.

Rosco has said that he is unsure when Rose will be fit to ride as scaphoid injuries do not always heal in a specific time frame.

Agree. That's why I said will depend when it heals as although Rose has said 4 weeks, I think that's going to be a minimum. Doesn't need to hurry back until he's ready.
