stratton
And when you do plan for the future by developing youngsters, you're not allowed to pick them as your draft riders! All about the short term, I agree with you 100%. A shame i think there should be a rule that each club has to have a Brit in the top five.(ie Garrity, Howarth,Auty,Barker,Worrall, Newman ok some will only turn out as bread/Butter riders but the EL need those types of riders. That could be the next phase of the draft experiment, those Tier 1 riders HAVE to be in the main 1-5 next season. The best Tier 2's jump up to Tier 1, and so on..... Personally, I think the next phase should be that the Tier 1 and Tier 2 riders stay the same for next season but the heat format reverts back to pre 2014 so that they have harder rides. I like that idea but i would like to see draft riders put into the top five to see if they can mix it with the big boys.I know certain riders will be out of there depth also that gives a second string maybe down on confidence a month at reserve.Howarth has cut it as a top five rider all the riders i named are capable of being top five riders also. noggin
Get a life I haven't been on here knocking Gomolski down every week.....If you don't like the truth then don't reply. I believe that was scottyfan, and i tell you what, lets have ward come in on Adrians average in the best interest of British Speedway and all that. hagonshocker
what on earth are you prattling on about? I have quite clearly stated that its a good move for Swindon and Poole for Darcy to be back riding so i have no idea what on earth you are having a go about? My point was that people are expecting Swindon to now go on a run because of the changes. I was making a point that i didnt think Swindon would get many more points if any from the Ward/ Krcmar pairing then from what they originally had. Not once have i slated Swindon, Poole or Ward on this thread. I agree the arrival of Ward might make a better team spirit and yes a settled side which no doubt will help. Are you as odious in real life as you are on here?? Dont you bloody dare accuse me of prattling after all the tripe you come out with...i was merely stating how figures you use of a guest and Howarth combined arent quite the bigger picture...get it? now jog on Edited July 8, 2015 by hagonshocker

Steve0
I just wonder, as discussed elsewhere on this thread, when Rossiter will be bleating on next about "the lack of British youngsters progressing within the sport". I also wonder, albeit doubt, whether the interviewer will have the gonads to chuck this scenario straight back in his grinning face? I also wonder, as mentioned, whether Mr. Batchelor will now witness and end to his 'mechanical gremlins'? Wouldn't that be so wonderfully advantageous. I also wonder how a particular Mr. Ward can be deemed to be 'the ultimate professional'? To my mind, nothing could be further from the truth. But mainly, I have to wonder how Speedway Supporters minds now work? A group of people that I have always deemed to be the fairest, honest and most sporting of fans now seem obsessed with this win at all costs mentality. These values now appear to have been sadly discarded. Just listen to yourselves (some) Swindon fans. You should be bloody ashamed. Your team has sunk to the depths of the charlatans from Dorset, and yet you seem overjoyed to have signed a rider with Ward's history; in place of a loyal young British rider who has now lost, for the time being anyway, a significant part of his employment. Alan Rossiter, by these actions, is an utter disgrace to British Speedway; particularly given his position of 'Team GB Manager'. What a crock!!
Crazy robin
Swindon fans are thinking that the play offs will still take such reaching but as Hagonshocker says we had to get a rider in to replace Adrian & Rosco tried Killer but that didn't work out. Like others I would've been happy with Shamek or a rider of similar average but as other clubs who wanted Darcy know they just are not there anymore. The biggest positive is watching a team with a regular top 5 & not having to realise on guests etc. Reaching the play offs is a massive bonus. Panthers89
Atleast Swindon have signed 2 quality riders to replace a Brit with.... look at us: Konokpra for Olly Greenwood, now that's criminal.
Steve0
They still don't seem to have got to grips with how the new race format affects averages. I think the lowest last year was on about 4.9, with no other riders below 5. To be fair, though, the standard of FTR riders is higher this year, so there are a few more below 5 but none as low as 4.50. So, on paper at least, the new Czech should be the worst top 5 rider in the league. Don't forget about Ginger Gomolski at Poole We see that with having two brilliant assets in Doyley and Magic and not using them speedway is all about the short term one of the thing's i dislike about speedway. Magic is a Poole asset - we did a swap deal with Poole.
lionheart
I'm sure that Rosco had to do something, but I think it will all end in tears

racerback
yes only speedway could make welcoming back a rider banned for drinking such an event what next the tour de france with former winner and serial drug cheat lance armstrong shown in a saints outfit sometimes i just have to wonder why speedway keeps shooting its self in the foot and just for the record i feel darcy is free to ride as hes now done his time just dont think we should be hailing him as the saviour
YerRopes
Welcome to Swindon Eduard Krcmar, this lad has potential and I hope he delivers, I shall reserve judgement on our other new signing.. A big well done to Rosco in making the only decision he could make and that is keeping the in-form Swindon assset Zengi in the team. Best of luck to Kyle, I didn't want anyone to leave but we do need a full team, so I hope he finds a new team berth and understands the decision C'Mon you Rockinest Robins...
CB252
but i still don't think this Coventry side will win the league. I don't think anyone sane believes that we will win it. The team is nowhere near good enough. Our lofty position is more of an indictment of how bad some of the other teams are.

SCB
I'd be brilliant if Darcy is rubbish on Monday - yet Swindon still win by 8. Kelv and Nigel will be in floods of tears, their blue eyed boy being rubbish and Poole getting no points.
