Swindon 2015

Recommended Posts

Detail all seems a little sketchy but what Rosco says about visas here is a little worrying for speedway http://www.swindonlinksport.com/swindon_sports_news/roscovisas

Is it just the closure of a loophole that has been exploited? He also says Swindon will be fine, which I guess is because Nick Morris has a British passport and Batchelor/Doyle are competing at World Championship level, so visas shouldn't be an issue.

Guessing this means riders like North, Fricke, the Kurtz boys etc might be in a spot of bother?

More nonsense from the UKBA. Mental.

I like that Swindon were asked if they had advertised in the local paper for a local person when trying to get a visa for Troy Bachelor. Just shows what you are up against.

Interesting to read about Peter looking at giving Britain a miss, means Swindon will be in the market for a new number 1 next season. I got a feeling Rosco will be keeping an eye on Mr Holders situation at Poole and if he becomes available.

More likely the Darcy Ward situation!

Good point! would make better sense but Rosco has always rated Chris highly and I can see if an opportunity came up he would grab it.

Lets be honest, anyone who has not rated Holder highly from day 1 was a mug and I can't believe there is a single promoter/manager out there who would not want him in there team for 2015 if he was available.

Wouldn't touch a Poole rider on loan as their heart wouldn't be in it & would rather use Jason Doyle.

With Bachelor and Morris plus possible returns for Gustafson and North (visa allowing), would Swindon need another big scorer if there are many of the few seven plus riders that seem interested in coming back next season ?

If Doyle is to carry on riding here as well as Poland, Sweden and the GP's then it would be hard to see how Leicester would fit him in with the clash of dates so maybe Swindon could finally use him for once.

Try Doyle + Batch + The Kid +4

Try Doyle + Batch + The Kid +4

Prefer Doyle, Holder, Batch and the Kid, plus from what is on Linksport Rosco may also look at Musielak, +2. It will all depend on what the "masterminds" at the bspa come up with at the AGM.

Can't see the point of taking a risk on a Polish rider on a 6 point average no matter how good he is as will either go missing or struggle to maintain it.

Need riders who can improve average to be successful like Dakota did for us.

Still find it amazing that Milik was a 4 & Tobiasz was upped to a 6 in 2014 but have a fair idea why!!!

SS is saying that Musielak is expected to be assessed at 5.

Swindon as the article says were told he would've been a 6 in 2014 so what's changed?.

Rosco had a word with Matt in the bogs at the House of Commons yesterday and Matt said Rosco could use his rule book on rider assessments.

Cameron Woodward would be worth consideration

Blimey we will have to change from the Robins to the Roos.

Surely 5 HAS to be the lowest for any new rider?

6 is preferable.

And YES that includes Berntzon (assuming he signs as expected for Wolves).

Would love Wolves to get Berntzon on a 5.00 average but like Musielak they are both class acts and with a number of top riders unsure of their future riding here, both should be better than a five average and 6.00 would be a fair assessment.

I must admit I have a small feeling Jason Doyle could be elsewhere next season so maybe Bachelor and Morris would join Musielak and either North or Gustafsson also in.

The final place in the main body seems to be a British rider next season so maybe Ed Kennett doubling up or someone like Lewis Blackbird or Steve Worrall maybe ?
