mdmc82
hans andersen guest for nick if still injured? Hans Andersen is riding in the SEC tonight. Would be a good guest Monday though (and would also help the bees if Swindon beat Poole)
mdmc82
Glasgow No 1 Nick Morris will be forced to sit out tomorrows meeting with Workington and potentially a number of other key clashes for the Tigers after he was injured last night. The 21-year-old Australian was guesting for Somerset as they took on Plymouth at the Oaktree Arena when he had a coming together with Devils rider Ryan Fisher at the conclusion of heat 13. It left Morris with a nasty gash to his elbow, which required stitches. The news today is that he is facing a few weeks on the sidelines to recover from the injury. That means Morris will certainly miss the Comets visit to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium tomorrow (3pm), and he is a major doubt for the Tigers visits to Sheffield, Somerset and Rye House next week. Team news for Sunday will be released as soon as possible. - See more at: http://www.glasgowtigers.co/morris-out-of-comets-clash/#sthash.gWYF2isX.dpuf Edited July 11, 2015 by mdmc82
Trees
Having seen the pictures on Facebook I can see why Nick is out of Saturday at Leicester and expect the the Poole match which is a shame. When is Fisher going to learn to ride cleanly and fair Not whilst he has a "hole in his ar**" as we say in Norfolk!

Shale Searcher
As I understand it, his ban from speedway is not a criminal offence, so once he's sorted out his normal visa issues he should be down the pub with Middlo pretty damn soon.. . A ORLOV
It seems from Twits or whatever from Darcy that he is not joining Torun for the rest of 2015 and is on the lookout for any other Polish place that becomes available. This is not due to Torun not wanting him but with difficulty in fitting him into the team without causing problems Edited July 17, 2015 by A ORLOV

Seems like he didn't want a rider mate to get sacked so the team could fit him in.

van wolfswinkel
Was chatting to one of the Robins main sponsors today, was concerned about the fixture list, only 1 home match in June, then 4 matches in 5 days in both July and August. Need more regular home meetings. Crowd of around 1800 against Poole last week, includes about 400 sponsors, guests, season-ticket holders, freeloaders. Even though it was tenner the poor weather and Sky cameras reduced the gate. Seems apart from the Poole clashes crowds are rarely above 1400, mostly around 1200. 17 quid is too much. Hundreds of fans stopped going when Leigh Adams said farewell. They used to take 5 coachloads to the Cardiff GP when he was in it, now only 1 coach. Preferred the old 18/19 club format with only one home clash per opponent, or north-south league. Don't think most fans want to see teams such as Wolves, Lakeside, Leicester twice a year. Hopefully with Wardy riding now and new stadia on way with excellent facilties interest and attendances will increase up at Blunsdon. Both agreed Belle Vue best team at The Abbey so far this year. MattK
Interesting comment about the new stadium. This story was from 20 March and claims "Work on the state-of-the-art venue will commence within the next 10 weeks". That was four months ago. This article from 25 June suggests that documents still need to be submitted to the council before work can start. No documents related to the stadium have been submitted to the council since February this year.

Every day on way to work I drive past expecting to see a wheelbarrow or JCB or something...nothing yet!! Something to do with noise barrier to be approved by Swindon Council holding it up. Your mate need to go to Wickes and ask for a "long weight" as that's what he's in for.

They still have "stadium" on road sign! We were told in 2007 that the new stadium would be built next to the existing stadium, we could watch it go up and move into it albeit unfinished in July 08. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this similar to what is supposed to be happening at Blunsdon?
