DunRobin
Dunrobin with great respect but we arent always negative and pessimistic....maybe we live in reality as far as expectation is concerned weve had enough practice after all! If im being honest the management press releases arent exactly that encouraging and that is coming from them.....'struggling to find someone' 'Doesnt want a temporary fix'....and thats just the stuff they are saying in public...you wanna hear some of the stuff that isnt?! If we get Miedzinski which is far from a given i understand then the side looks potentially ok but also a lot of if's..just being real mate not negative So 7 p/o's out of 10 isn't good enough for you. I think you need a reality check!

Crazy robin
Another averge year for the Robins I think with the team they have. Think that will at best as loads of pressure on every rider & they are all inconsistent so big losses & big wins might be the way. Especially if Adrian is no 1. YerRopes
A big welcome back to Zengi, am looking forward to him flying out of those starts again, he's been saying all the right things too ! Now all we need is that 'kick-arse' No 1 which we appear to be struggling with.. Don't particularly want to see AM at Blunsdon though, apart from his previous faux-pas his average is currently inflated, but then again I suppose 'beggars can't be choosers'.. As others have said perhaps we jumped the gun with Kyle's signing, he's one for the future no doubt, but would be happier if he were to be included as a Robin's asset. Woz01
Swindon will certainly be happy with Howarth in the side if the face either Coventry or Poole in the play offs.
TitusTokio
Yes, averages are important, but as long as the Robins management are happy with the team put together then I don't mind if we're under the limit by a point or so. Link Sport have run a poll each time we've signed a rider and each time it's been 80% psossitive at least.

Look at Birmingham last season - a team that had wooden spoon written all over it and didn't excite the fans. The management can be happy if they get a rider on an 8+ average who can maintain that and lead the team!

Link Sport have run a poll each time we've signed a rider and each time it's been 80% psossitive at least. The problem is, fans are notoriously fickle. Look at how badly crowds dropped in the middle of last season when we weren't doing so well. Some weeks it looked as low as 7-800. Granted, crowds picked up again towards the end of the season, but that was largely in line with results and the play-off push.

Yeah, of course it's important for the fans to be happy but the averages are all over the place in Britain right now so can't read too much into them. If Miedzinski comes in on his 8.?? he will go through the process that all other heat leaders have gone through last season. Reduction. Same will happen to Lindgren but it won't necessarily mean he's not contributing the same as other team's top dogs. If he can maintain his average, assuming it's him, he will deserve a lot of praise. An awful lot. We'll have to wait and see.

MattK
As in what i have been thinking and doing a Somerset?....if it's good enough for the Farmers daughter....Kyle Howarth starting to sweat already?.... B Pedersen, Janowski or Shamek Pawlicki and then Kolodziej, Larsen, Madsen or Kylmakopi (for Howarth) looks a much better team than bringing in Miedzinski or Lindback. Yes i agree if you cant top your side with two fairly big hitters then that is the better option The problem is, fans are notoriously fickle. Look at how badly crowds dropped in the middle of last season when we weren't doing so well. Some weeks it looked as low as 7-800. Granted, crowds picked up again towards the end of the season, but that was largely in line with results and the play-off push. The solid regular fanbase(well most of them) will come through thick and thin but the ocassionals certainly wont

Crazy robin
Don't think there reach the play offs with the team they have assembledStick a decent no 1 or if Killer had changed his mind then I think there'd be a chance but not with Adrian. Funny how Swindon always signed Leigh Adams first & built from there but this time started with the lowest averaged rider in the top 5. I like Kyle but I think that was a massive mistake & something that they will regret. Edited January 16, 2015 by Crazy robin

milney
Just read on link sport that we'll sign miedzinski this weekend. Could do a lot worse than that for our no1 and could surprise a few people this year. Yes, we couldve had Milik or Shamek and been under points limit, but we've gone for our riders and I'll back them now
A ORLOV
Sounds like number 1 could be signed this weekend, and the likely name on the cards is A Miedzinski, according to Swindonlink .
milney
Of course we could've signed bjarne as second heat leader, then after 1 match replaced zengi with killer or magic and circumvented the 2 over 7 rule .... But we'd have to be south coast to entertain anything as devious as that
