Swindon 2015

Recommended Posts

Darcy was considering Swindon a couple of years ago until Middlo told him he'd have to find somewhere else to live!:D

But he's rumoured to have bought a house now and is in a steady relationship so who knows?! :P

Yeah mate i remember it will may have overheard one or two conversations about that near event! Can remember there was Pizza involved on Roscos settee..... :D

Looks like the robins back up plan if no killer is to go for strength in depth, they have sounded out Smolinski as one of the last two riders.

Holy crap!

Let's hope not then as I don't want him at Swindon anytime soon.

More fool you then....wouldnt have a problem whatsoever with Darcy in fact (and this isnt a pop at Middlo) but i think it would do his career a lot of good if he moved away for a year or two as he seems to be a bit mommy coddled at times and forgiven too quickly ...just my opinion...but an onfire Ward at Blunsdon would certainly attract more bums on seats (grass verges) ...my tip is we are starting the season with kildemand until August when it gets too much for him and Ward will come in after recieving a backdated 12 month ban...... :drink:

Would also be happy if Darcy rode for us, and I hinted at another possibility back in November, I also feel that Rosco has been waiting for the outcome of the hearing and also the bspa meeting coming up in Jan that may open up a few options re Killer and/or others.

Don't ask questions like that PoP - it limits the choice of responses!! :D (ps. I know he's bought one but no idea where it is?)

Has he bought a house in England ?

YES

He bought two in Old Kent Rd and Whitechapel Rd but failed to buy a hotel in Mayfair after landing in Jail :drink:

Not sure that Darcy will ever learn. Everyone seems to be forgetting the drink/drugs incident before the 2014 season back home in Os. He appears to be like Justin Beiber & thinks he can get away with anything. It's no good protesting his innocence as he publicly admitted the drinking spree & used a poor excuse for it, which was subsequently proved to be a lie. He is a great talent but like so many great talents in many sports, he has a flawed character. Personally, I would not welcome him to the Abbey as it is almost certain that he will let you down!

Really? Even with Kildemand confirming he won't be here? Reckon we should take whoever is going personally. And I doubt it will be Darcy.

Sad to hear you say that Graham but I have a sneaking feeling that you may be right!

I'm pretty sure he'll be at Poole if he gets clearance to ride.

So you would be willing to risk the on-going risk that is Darcy. Personally I would rather look at the more reliable riders that are about, even if they are a lesser talent. Darcy has been a problem in 3 play-offs during recent years, the Coventry debacle, he performed poorly, the injury sustained in dubious circumstances before the Swindon play-offs & for which no real reason has ever been given & finally the drinking episode.

Considering we are in desperate need of a top 2 rider, I think Darcy is certainly the best choice in terms of ability. There aren't a lot of choices unfortunately.

Sure he's a risk in terms of the problems he has had, and I'd rather have Kildemand. But he ain't coming. Swindon need someone that can score big alongside Troy.
