hyabb17
A question, how do you all know what we can/can't pay....here's a thought for you all. Swindon say they want to use Doyle (this may or may not be true), by doing this & Doyle wanting to go elsewhere means a full transfer to that club rather than a loan fee. No one other than the two guys in charge know what is really going on so all this speculation is drival IMHO. mrcts
Why would anybody pay a transfer fee for a free agent is beyond me......what would happen if Leicester payed a so called "transfer" fee to Swindon and next year Doyley gets a better offer and signs for another team, then would Leicester get a transfer fee from the team who signs him.......absolute madness! If the guy was under contract like most other team sports are then fair enough but how can you expect a fee for someone who is not under contract. hyabb17
The "asset system" is outdated & should be scrapped but it won't be. Swindon own Doyle's registration so are entitled to a transfer fee if the rider doesn't want to ride for that club. No other country operates this system but that's just the way it is over here. EnglishRoundabout
Doyle has a job. Swindon don't have a team. It suggests that Swindons wage offers are wrong rather than Doyles demands. He's found someone to meet them, Swindon can't find a number 1 for the money they're offering. Some of the comments aimed at Doyle on here are between hillereous and pathetic. You'd all love him had Swindon met his demands. SCB coming over to have another pop at Swindon. ' Swindon don't have a team'....Not yet we don't have a team but it is January and the season doesn't start until March. 'Swindon's wage offers are wrong rather than Doyle' demands'..... You know that for a fact do you?
Woz01
Is what Leigh Adams earned 5 years comparable to now days, definitely not. More money is needed to compete and basically live in 2015 so I don't think it's harsh of Doyle to ask for a wage of what someone was earning 5 years ago especially when he can get that somewhere else. The story is probably rubbish anyway.
Crazy robin
For whatever reason money or otherwise Jason doesn't want to ride for Swindon so can we just move on now.
Midland Red
Some of the comments aimed at Doyle on here are between hillereous and pathetic. A new word for the new year! Surely Rossiter and Pratt have enough contacts to come up with a decent Robins team? Edited January 4, 2015 by Midland Red
Gloves
Unfortunately neither Janowski or Meidzinski will join the robins this year. Magic is either riding for Poole or giving the elite league a miss this year. As with GPs he is not that keen to over commit. Meidzinski is considering Leicester apparently and won't ride for Rosco after Rosco was critical of his move to Poole. Originally Doyle was annoyed that he didnt get a team place when he was traded with Magic. Ended up at Brummies (the best team in the land) and felt he was always a fall back to Andersen, Batch and Killer. Of course good money helps when now at Leicester. For crying out loud do these riders winge when left out of Polish & Swedish teams.
remembertheracers
For crying out loud do these riders winge when left out of Polish & Swedish teams. I suspect they do, whinging is not confined to the UK. Doyle's attitude to Swindon is understandable having had a great year, then signed but not used. Who cares really as I couldn't give a jot & Darcy will ride for Poole if cleared. The race for the runners up spot is on.

INCOGNITO
Think it would do everyone a favour if Darcy is allowed to ride that he joins Swindon or somewhere other than Poole. See if another promotion will give him everything they do at Poole and make him realise that being at a track that has stood by him so much is very lucky and may make him act accordingly. If Swindon fail in the bid to get a top rider signed up is it wise that teams sign five point riders first and then hope everything else falls into place. A five point rider would be the worst but one rider in the EL last year. So that's possibly not the best team building strategy option. I think INGONITOs point was if you were struggling to sign riders, why sign Howarth early on as there are a glut of 6 pointers so you could have got closer to the limit and got a better rider in his place.
