Poole did have first option to buy back if I remember correctly.

Yes but it is very obvious that he does not want to ride for Poole. He turned down Matt last season when he was wanted but I think that when he was dropped by Poole, even though he was riding well in 2013, was the straw that broke the camel's back. He really enjoyed his stay at the Abbey after that & that could well be the decider in where he goes in 2015.

He did well at Swindon in 2013 and would have liked him in the 2014 team, if he is riding for the Robins next year, that is a good start to the team make up.

Sorry, can't agree with you, the only no 1 to increase his average, qualified for the GP's. What more can you ask? Give the guy credit for what he achieved!

You seem to be reading into something thats not there. If I said all mothers are female you'd argue back all females are not mothers. It's the same sort of thing. Nobody said said Jason hasn't had a good season or anything like that. We're just pointing out that been in a poorer team means he score less bonus points so his official average is higher than others of the same standard.

Happy with the Howarth signing if true. Morris and Batch certs as well. Doyley wont be back.

Will Doyley really choose a Saturday night team over Swindon & if so the reasons needs to be made public?.

Why do we have so much trouble getting our own assets to ride for us & who is going to be our no 1 as Troy isn't up to it?.

im sure like every rider the reason will be money. I like Doyley but if he doesnt want to ride for Swindon then just move on. Batch wont be number 1. Someone will be in above him.

As for assets not wanting to ride for us thats easy too. They were sick and tired of not being paid properly for months. Thankfully last season it was loads better but anyone who rode pre 2014 is bound to wary of riding for us. A lot of BS was spouted to those lads.

Swindon have made Kyle Howarth a club asset, but does that mean he will be lining up in Robins 2015 team .... No

If Peter Kildemand can be persuaded to stay on board, Swindon can keep the same five riders from 2014 but get two new reserves that may not be as strong !

Swindon could be getting the last pick from Grade A due to the "protection racket" but will then get the first pick from the Grade B riders.

7.58 Peter Kildemand

7.58 Troy Bachelor

6.57 Dakota North

6.31 Nick Morris

5.92 Simon Gustafsson

FTR Steve Boxall or Adam Roynon

FTR Starke, Sarjeant, Rose, Jacobs etc

Ashley Birks could be an option in Grade A but he has signed up at Sheffield in the PL so would only be riding away ?

However, you are ignoring the fact that it is harder to ride at no 1 in a poor side. Invariably this season he would have been 1 against 2, no rider pressurising the opponents or holding them up. it is always easier riding if you have a good pairing. The Swindon riders Kildemand & Batchelor dropped their averages, purely because both riders had really bad patches during the season. They frequently picked up their bonus points behind a lesser rated team member & not because they were shepherding them home but because they were off the pace.

You're wrong. If you're say Troy Batchelor, in 3 of your heats you're out with 2 opposing riders and Kildemand. But if you were Jason Doyle you were out against the same two opposing riders and one of Hougaard or Buckowski who both averaged 5 so he actually had it easier.

Take Chris Harris, he had 3 heats every meeting with Hans Andersen (assuming they both got heat 15), Hans and Bomber score more 5-1s than any other pair in the whole league by a long way (about 12 ahead of whoever was 2nd from memory), Bomber score loads of bonus points so is something like 13th in the league averages but with bonus points is about 4th. He has a lower average because he rode in a stringer team with a stronger team mate.

Magic Janowski scoring went up when Ward got banned too - some will say he found better form but stats would suggest he was beating the same riders as before the difference now is he was beating his team mate in heats 13, 15 and 5/6 where as he wasn't before.

If a 7-8 point man (Doyle) goes out in heat 5/6, 13 and 15 with a 5 point rider he's going to get 3 points off them, put him out with a rider of a similar level and he's going to lose 1.5 points to them - and Doyles average is about a point higher than Troy and Kildemand, proving the original point.
