therefused
Dakota increased his average by well over 2pts last year, despite not riding a full season. Matt Ford knows his onions, and signing North will prove an astute move imo... He was riding against fast track riders most of the time though.
SteveLyric2
More good news to come with a new 2-year sponsorship deal in the offing (as reported in the Nationals!!)
Bagpuss
Will be a much different kettle of fish for him riding against heat leaders.
foreverblue
Neither signing is a shock, given the well publicised transfer of North from Peterborough or the equally well publicised wish of Chris Holder wanting to return and seeing him ride for another team would be hard for most Poole fans to take but North is a poor signing, can't see how he will increase his average and may be an early casualty if my fears are proven. On a personal note, never liked him, always thought he had a bit of a attitude and a rider who could let you down at a vital time but i may warm to him if he performs well. LagutaRacingFan
North is class, He may have had easier rides last year but he's a better rider now. He's 23 years old now, He's hitting his prime.

Had a season of him at Ipswich and thinks he is so much better than he actually is. Nasty attitude to other riders as well on the track. Can only see him a s a third heat leader at Poole and he certainly isnt good enough for that. Josh G and Milik are far better riders and if one of them or both are sacrificed for North then thats poor. Last season he rode at number 2 against mainly fast track riders who he should be beating. At heat leader he isnt good enough. The majority of Poole fans on here are not impressed with the signing and rightly so. Though it has to be said Poole rarely get it wrong. I await Starmans response that he is the signing of the season!

SteveLyric2
North's signing is as a direct result of his guest appearances towards the end of this season - plus its like a 'spiritual homecoming' for him as his mother comes from Poole! As there is still the possibility that Poole could have both Holder and Ward in the team, then that would almost certainly make North the 3rd heat leader!! However, if MF goes with Maciej (7.50) or another 7+ rider then that gives Poole a few more options. As Matt/Middlo have stated - they have options for all possibilities and will probably now wait until Darcy's hearing (and hopefully the result?!) on January 8th. foreverblue
You talking about Darcy? You cannot compare Darcy to North!! Always liked Darcy as a rider, i admit he has done some ill advised things but hopefully he has learnt from them and after his ban can get on with riding as we know he can. spot on. Had a season of him at Ipswich and thinks he is so much better than he actually is. Nasty attitude to other riders as well on the track. Don't think Josh G can double up, so maybe that's why we got North but i hope Milik isn't a casualty of getting North as he is a much better rider with far more potential for improvement. Gavan
Gavan was North much of a team player at Ippo? Nope Might be better at Poole if Holder can take him under his wing. Also was there the night he deliberatly fenced Barker, which was one of the most disgraceful dangerous things ive seen on a speedway track. Barker was no angel dont get me wrong but North set out to deliberatly injure another rider. Seem to vaguely remember him doing something on Sky at Coventry last season? I dont like North the person but on the right avaerage he could do a job. Just dont think he is on a good average. And before any blue tints accuse me of anti poole my dislike of North goes back a long way........isnt that right blupanther lol!

customhouseregular
It is looking likely that Ward will join Holder at Poole subject to his suspension being lifted. Hopefully he has learnt that being a t**t does not pay and gets back to being a star performer on the track. If he does then it's Poole for the title, not that being no. 1 out of 8 and meeting everyone else 4 times counts for much. If I could get to speedway and support a team regularly I would go Premier League as the Elite League is a "dead duck".

Adam Skcorniki springs to mind.

weatherwatcher
I can't remember who North was guesting for at Leicester this year, but he did the same thing to young Josh Bates has he did to Barker. He pushed him into the fence and Josh came a terrible tummble. He is one dangerous rider that needs to be taken under a good riders wing and shown that he needs to respect his fellow riders, before one of them fences him and ends his career. Hope Berwick haven't got any Aussies?...........Oh hang on. Oh dear!!! oh he cant be all bad because he set out to deliberatly hurt another rider? what a stupid response. Barker is a bit of a plum who shoots his mouth off a bit i give you that but doesnt condone what North did or does it in your mind? A simple reply would have been you hope North does nothing like it at Poole and perhaps Holder can help him but instead you make a daft statement. Ive said it many times before i was never a big fan of Lee Richardson , i remember him fencing Loram in the British Final, but never in a million years would i have ever wanted him hurt or the tragedy that occured. By condoning what North did to Barker is a tad silly
