foreverblue
As he EVER done a full EL season?? Doubt it. His riding style is a bit wild at times, so injuries have played a big part in his career but he is a exciting rider to watch so would certainly welcome him back but as you say he rarely does a full season and he often comes in late in the season as he has done with poole in the past. Pinny
Did I really the original comment that THJ is GP class. That's the biggest laugh I have had in months. PMFSL Jonsson aside, on the international stage id say Thj is swedens top rider. Id say hes world class - every time ive seen him as a wild card he has impressed Lindgrens anything but world class - very much like hans andersen. Pretty good in the uk but average to poor in the other leagues and world cup

What's your definition of world class? Just the top 5? THJ may go on to be the better rider but at the moment he can't hold a candle to Lindgrens achievements

stevebrum
His average would suggest you are spot on.. So it seems! His average is wildly underrated. if he did a full season i expect it to go up by at least a point. by going up a point is hardly under-rated. A GP rider with a sub 6 or 7 (as you suggest) is pretty poor all the same. I would say THJ is a decent rider, well worth his current EL average but he isn't anywhere near as good as Lindgren. Only a troll would suggest different. ;-) Edited December 2, 2014 by stevebrum
Bagpuss
Out of interest what does THJ average in Sweden & Poland? Surely a far better barometer of his talent.
MattK
Out of interest what does THJ average in Sweden & Poland? Surely a far better barometer of his talent. 29th in the Polish averages. One behind Gollob and ironically 3 places ahead of a certain "world class" Freddie Lindgren. http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/enea-ekstraliga/statystyki/2014

Did Lindgren not contest the Swedish Final then?!
foreverblue
Did Lindgren not contest the Swedish Final then?! Anyone can point out a statistic or meeting to sustantiate their argument. Anyone can have a off night and it is my opuon that lindgren is a better rider than jonasson

Aces51
So little difference between them in Poland. Freddie way ahead in EL. Just the Swedish League to go to compare! It's there on the same website http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/elitserien/statystyki/2014 and here http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/allsvenskan-league/statystyki/2014 However, if we are talking EL then Lindgren is plainly the better rider.
