chris4gillian
Fickle fickle Poole fans. If your not clear in the table you want changes! Second in the league almost certainly in the play offs yet you want to see riders who have actually UPPED their average dropped. Try looking at the riders whose averages have dropped like Holder and Watt and to be honest Newman hasn't done as well as last year. Now I'm not saying for 1 minute that any of those 3 riders should go but no way should Gomolski be dropped. I'm sure Wolves or Leicester would love to be second in the league wondering who to replace. Can't believe some Poole fans Not all of us are fickle...my posts clearly support the current 1-7..!!
Woz01
Poole will have to make changes if Coventry replace Robson with a Zmarzlik or Buszkowski. Coventry will have pretty much 5 heat leaders in their 1-5. Tbf its not a poole thing. Coventry fans calling for Hans and Robson to be dropped. Kl fans calling for bjerre and porsing to be dropped. Would add that often it makes more sense to drop a rider who has increased their average riding 2nd string than a rider who has decreased their average as a heat leader. We can't replace Hans but when there is an opportunity to replace Robbo with a 6.6 man its quite obvious it needs to be done. With Poole they would have to make 2+ changes to make it worthwhile. He looked better at home but that was against a poor Wolves side. When we could get somebody in for 6.6pts, it's madness not to. g13webb
Just by reading the last few pages on the thread, is all the answers to why Speedway in this country is all but dead. The year long competition, has been replaced by an end of season four team tournament. The winning of that tournament dictates everything else. The loyalty of the rider to the Club have gone, The loyalty of the club to the rider has gone, the connection of the fans to the rider has gone. It fact this sad situation is governed by the importance of wining a 'proxy' 4 team Competition. And people wonder why this sport has died.........

Not all of us want changes to the team that get us to the playoffs!! But I do agree that your philosophy is regrettably spot on. "Thank you 'rider A' for all your hard work during the past 7 months however I'm now dumping you for 'rider B' who makes us stronger for the playoffs! You were good enough to get us here but not for the final push." That unfortunately is the way it goes year after year.
SteveLyric2
Your not following me at all are you. I have said drop North for Pawlicki, North is 6.94 currently. I have never said to drop Gomolski,Newman can't be dropped, he is irreplaceable, Watt and North are my tips for the chop. Dak North's rolling average is currently 6.09 and Dave Watt is 6.12 with (I think) only Monday's away meeting at Wolves to count towards the August 1st figures. The current team total is 33.76 ie only 0.24 to play with if a rider with a higher average is being considered.

I think FB is proposing making the change in the next week or so while Dak's average is 6.94. Personally, I think Dak's done pretty well considering he has been a heatleader all season. I can't help feeling he's been let down a bit by Holder and Watt's problems, meaning both have dropped to second string in place of him. It will be interesting to see how much confidence he gets from riding at number four, if his average stays below Watt's for next month. I thought they said they weren't bringing Ward back in to the team as it would mean changes and they were happy with the team they have

People are getting this impression that Matt will make changes, for the life of me i cannot see where. And niether can many Poole fans.. Matt will only make changes if he feels its justified, and at this moment in time its not..

Yes Newman & Golmoski aren't in their usual form at present but most people know what they are capable of when they are. Poole were unlucky against Swindon with bike problems & exclusions so not sure why after one meeting people are doubting this team.

g13webb
So perhaps you could tell us all who Matt is likely to drop and bring in ? Mate, I don't give a monkeys, who Matt might drop or who he brings in. To me, the team that's got you to the PO's should be good enough to finish the job. I would like to see the window for signing new riders close on the 1st July. Only exception being, when a rider is side-lined through long term injury.

One engine failure for Chris in Heat 1 & maybe then on 2nd bike rest of night but where were the other problems?. Not the other teams luck if a team keeps having falls & engine failures.

What excuses are you going to come up with after the visit of Rosco and the robins on 29th. We have a new rider in our team a D Wardski who is sure he will be able to ride the Poole track very well, not only that we could do with 4 points. foreverblue
We wont win the league with the current 1-5.The team isn't good enough. North and Watt are too inconsistent. Our current position is based on results over the season so far not on current form and i hope win monday but that wont tell us anything about our play off chances because wolves are so weak at the moment

However 1 rider doesn't make a team. You also need your reserves & Kcrmar to ride well.
