Poole 2015

Its funny how all the fans of other clubs slag him off for months, admittedly some of it justified, then they all want him at their club!!

Yes the hypocrisy from some on here when they actually think he might ride for them is unbelievable!

To be fair, there has been a few saying under no circumstances do they want Darcy Ward which I have more respect for their decision even though he will benefit any team he rides for.

@nigelpearson: Nothing finalised for Darcy Ward yet in UK #Speedway - not easy when half the league (four clubs) are in for one rider.

Interesting. Wonder which 4?

Leicester were one, Swindon confirmed as another.

Ward will be at Swindon with Batch & Morris

Obviously not us  . Lakeside couldn't afford to have AJ and Ward in the same team. BV don't want Darcy. Neither do Coventry.

Leicester, Lynn, Swindon and Wolves.

Twitter rumours have been Leicester, Swindon, Wolves & Lakeside for a while. Possibly replacing AJ so he can focus on other commitments.

Yes the hypocrisy from some on here

As hypocritical as those that deride Pedersen for a nothing move on Hancock, yet think nothing of Pawlciki continually smashing into the Russian, or the perpetually out of control Kildemand trying to kill himself and others every time he takes to the track, just because those two are part of the in crowd!

Speedway is full of hypocrisy, mainly amongst the riders!

As for Ward, does he even have permission to work in the UK yet? I was told he needed to return home for the necessary paperwork before signing a contract. Doesn't leave him much time to get sorted?

It wasn't a nothing move, he took his front wheel, may have been a fair move to Nicki as he has done far worse in the past, if Emil had gone down more than likely Pawlicki would have got excluded but Emil stayed upright and won the race. kildemand is wild and out of control quite a bit but in my opinion doesn't do it on purpose, most riders don't do it on purpose, most riders give other riders room to race.

Ward signing for the Robins

Source: Bournemouth Echo.

Mistake on our part in my opinion. We should of took a gamble by dropping Holder for Ward in my opinion. Holder is dealing with understandable demons at the moment and is lacking a bit of confidence.

Wouldn't fit in the averages, the only change i would like is Pawlicki for Watt.

Reading the whole article it doesn't actually say that he's signing!! There are still averages, visa and other riders to sort out.

Plus ' Matt Ford was unavailable for comment'!! (that's because he's away in the USA getting married today!!!))

We cant let Darcy go to Swindon. Matt needs to think this over again.

Why not?? Its the most convenient for him distance-wise. ( I shouldn't think its uppermost in MF's mind at the moment!)

It might get Swindon the fourth place for the play-offs which should make for 2 good semi-finals and a final!!

Gomolski is just fine in my opinion and it is difficult to see how anyone else on his average would be an improvement.

His form seems to have dipped a little (as it did for Swindon in 2013 when they replaced him with Howarth) but he's still doing what he's paid to do. His average has actually risen to 4.84 for July.

Exactly so who could we get that would be an improvement bearing in mind his average equates to a 8 point PL rider.
