dabbsjoe
Actually it seems to be SCB who has noticed this, and pointed out how Poole could benefit. As far as we know, this isn't in Poole's planning, though it might be now!! The silly thing is, people pointed out before last season how the averages would be affected, yet they've done nothing about it. I'm not a fan of grading, which didn't work well for me last time it was used, but there should be some sort of grading in team building - ie heatleader, second string, reserve. So that North can only be replaced by someone with a lower average who is graded as "second string". To have a situation where Dakota North can be replaced by Krzysztof Kasprzak shows a lack of forward thinking - particularly as 90% of people here could see this sort of thing happening when the new race format was introduced. you would hope that there would be some common sense within the rules that state a team can only have 2 riders with averages over 7 at the start of the season. if a riders average (like North's) then goes above 7 resulting in that team (same team that started the season) will have 3 or potentially more averages over 7 is fine as that is a part of the rolling averages. however if that team was to then make changes to it's lineup it must have only 2 riders with averages over 7 and remain under the points limit. foreverblue
What's his average? 6.24 I believe he did say he would be interested in riding here again and he did have a very good season last year so could be a bargain. flagrag
Tocha- Leicester have their final rider confirmed already they are just waiting on getting the paperwork approved with BSPA and then they can announce it. It has become more complicated though with the Poole situation and visas this year

Steve0
Why would it be an Australian asset of Poole's.................it could be anyone........... RP Because he said that it had become more complicated with the Poole situation and visas. If it wasn't a Poole asset, why would the Poole situation have anything to do with signing this rider. Also, if he isn't Australian why would the visa situation have any relevance. Ergo - it is an Australian Poole asset. Whether it is or not - we will soon find out! flagrag
It's funny how people are reading too much into my comments I was referring more in general to signing riders this winter. The situation at Poole has complicated other clubs team building plans as rightly or wrongly Poole have not been keen to allow other clubs to speak to their assets and riders who rode for them last season until they knew what was happening with their own team. I hear it wasn't just assets as well as they have been speaking to a variety of riders and dangling the carrot of a possible team place As Matt Ford has said previously he and Middlo have had 2 or 3 different teams in mind but i understand have finally settled on their team.
