Poole 2015

Recommended Posts

Not particularly 'backing down'. I don't know the actual figures anymore than you do - simply going on what Matt has told me. Incidentally, I do believe the attendances dipped in September when Darcy was suspended, even though Poole were in the running for the play-offs again.

Perhaps Ford should sue Ward for breach of contract causing Poole to lose income?

Chelsea sued Adrian Mutu (successfully I believe) for breach of contract after being banned for cocaine. Basically they sued for the cost of buying him.

Ward should be relieved Ford is unlikely to look to get his King's Lynn investment back?

Think they have gone on a long lunch to chat about it. Should have verdict by the 3rd or 4th week of March :-)

I think your probably right mate. 2 hrs behind a desk and they're off on a Tea Break... :nono:

Not a very good one though :-)

Bear in mind the 45 days could be working days which is 9 weeks, so 6 to go, which would be the second half of April

Have heard a rumour that Poole will be naming their team this week

Are they finally getting the message that Maciej Janowski 7.50 is the safer option and more likely to improve and carry on from last season.

Last rider ...... Pontus Aspgren ?

You contradict yourself. It's not a conspiracy against Ward then is it, if it applies to all the FIM hearings!!

Read the post. I said it was the same in his case as well.

I find it amusing that people think they know who Poole are likely to sign when in reality they are clutching at straws............all will be revealed in time...........

To be fair to TNT he hasn't said that he knows who is going to be signing, he is merely speculating hence the question marks. The kind of thing that a forum is for really, predictions and discussion.

Blimey! You're showing your age now naffer.

Yes Gemini correct, turning into my dad rapidly, he always told me speedway was better on cinders.

I look back a bit to the ole era and miss it.

Mind you favourite team was Knudsen bargh Tatum Jorgensen Miller clarke and Hackett.

Up the bees.

Back on topic regarding Poole matters....

POOLE Pirates have become the first British speedway club to be awarded a new sponsor licence – paving the way for Aussie star Chris Holder to ride in 2015.

Pirates applied at the beginning of February and passed a compliance inspection last week, with the licence granted on Friday.

The first certificate of sponsorship – for Grand Prix ace Holder – was produced on the same day.

All sponsor clubs voluntarily surrendered their licences at the end of January after process and record-keeping issues were highlighted by UK Visas and Immigration.

The Poole hierarchy is confident that a more robust system within the club is now in place.

Promoter Matt Ford said: “My heartfelt thanks must be passed to Nigel Leahy (announcer) who has acted with great haste and professionalism in this matter.

“I have always made clear how having the right team off-track gives us the tools to be successful on-track and this is a clear indication of that.

“We now hope that Chris's application is seamless and we all look forward to seeing him take his place with us in March.”

Hopefully we will see Majic included in the team soon.
