LisaColette
They might be waiting to see what happens with Holder's visa?
SCB
Because he might be in it? I think the point Gavan is making is he doesn't know why Ward is (or is maybe) in the Poole team. Personally, I'd pick Holder over Ward 90% of the time - you know he's going to turn up, you just can't be so sure with Darcy. Although Lisa makes a fair point, the visa thing could be getting in the way. Edited December 15, 2014 by SCB

BluPanther
I would prefer both in my team, given the opportunity...
Grachan
"Ok , tell Agent Holder he will have to go undercover at Swindon, call in that favour the Gordon fellow owes us for the bricks, and see what other assets can be activated. I"ll take care of Coventry. Oh, and get those holes in the track filled in and some fresh ones dug to keep'em guessing" He didn't really actually buy "bricks" for Belle Vue. Investing some money into a company can be offset to tax. This is called a "brick". So it's just a way of cutting your tax bill. I know this because my accountant told me I could do this if I wanted to as a tax avoidance scheme. But it confused me too much and involved the word "effort" so I didn't bother! Must admit I did have a little chuckle to myself when he started going on about "bricks" and I realised what it meant. If Darcy Ward has a hearing in January, then it's pretty obvious that Poole aren't going to make any team building decisions until after that. It doesn't neccesarily mean he'll be in or out of the side. Would love holder at Swindon, but, as said, there appears to be a visa issue there. Not sure why a former world Champion should have such issues, but it just shows how difficut that is getting now. Its because Holder was virtually 'unemployed' in the UK this year apart from the 28-day facility to cover the injured Darcy Ward early in the season. If I was Matt I'd declare Holder in the team as the higher average of the 2 and then consider a swap if and when DW becomes available. After all DW will need to get some race fitness back before he slots back in so that might be 2-3 months into the season.!!
Pirates Of Poole
I do think there is a 4th rider involved in this situation (heat leader) so think its more 3 into 1 place as one of the 7+ slots has been taken. stevebrum
Subject to Darcy been given the all clear to return to speedway from the hearing on 8th January 2015 , I could well see Matt making him the first choice? Think that's sending the wrong message from MF if Ward is still first choice. And seems to go against what a lot of Poole fans prefer. Do you have a preference to one or the other by the way? LisaColette
And wait for him to mess up again? Yeah can't wait! Had enough of it tbh. Should be sent to Swindon as a punishment!

I have friends who are Poole fans, speak to lots of different people who are Poole fans on social media sites too so I don't base all my opinions on just here! I know a lot of fans felt very let down by him. I have no doubt that there are plenty of fans that would welcome him back with open arms. Poole Quay 7
Many would like Poole to pick Darcy so they can have a good Think that's sending the wrong message from MF if Ward is still first choice. However, I would say that if Darcy is to be our number 1, ( subject to clearance and the obvious waiting to see from Matt ) then he will get the same 100% support I give to any rider wearing the Poole colours. What do you expect at a awards evening, booing!!

We all felt let down by him, but the people I speak to are all prepared to give him another go. I wouldn't pass up the chance of seeing the magic that Darcy produces on the track if he's available. I would also suggest that most fans wouldn't if he'd ridden for their team over the last few years. The problem is you guys have not had that pleasure. Don't get me wrong, I think he was well out of order doing what he did but will be quite happy to see him back in the side once he's served whatever suspension is handed out. Some of what he does is, quite frankly, witchcraft and I, for one, am prepared to give him one last chance.

I cant believe there is one Speedway fan out there that doesn't marvel at what Darcy can do on a bike. So of course I think we all just wish he could get his act together personally. Whist I am glad he doesn't ride for Wolves it would be a huge shame if he is unable to continue his career at the earliest possibility (FIM decisions permitting).
