Kings Lynn 2015

Apparently there is gonna be some sort of "event", date to be announced soon .....

Re the 50th anniversary, I would certainly have made more of it, it's the Golden year, I have now questioned Mark Gent about the programme hardly having mention of the 50th year on the front cover, his response was that if they mention it too much it would take away from the planned event.

How long has he been a fan, how does he know what is important to those fans who have attended the stadium since way before he was born? He only has to read this forum to know how disappointed people are with many aspects of the promotion at the moment. I would be taking this displeasure very seriously because I think people on here care about the club and are a pretty good representative group.

Like many on here, I cant remember a time when the atmosphere is as low as is been of late. The place seems dead. No enthusiasm, No spark, No communication, Nothing. Its as if no one cares anymore........ I'm sure that not the case........

But unless something happens soon the Stars speedway will just die a natural death......:sad::sad:

I thought it was just because I'm no longer a regular that I felt that way. It doesn't bode well when someone of your enthusiasm thinks the same

It all has a knock on effect. There is little to no marketing ideas coming out of Saddlebow Road these days. Buster is a track man ( an d a bloody good one at that) but he certainly is no PR guru. In fact as i recall he couldnt even use a Computer, I dont know if that situation has changed. Have to agree with the rest, the places is now as flat as a witches ***. The one thing that is holidng the thign together, for me, is Robert Lambert. Local lad on the way up he is the one big draw card that Lynn has. Like it was back in the day when Lee first burst onto the scene.

Buster could do a lot worse than getting his Boy back involved, even if it is only on a part-time basis. Certainly the place needs something, and with young Lambert wearing the Stars colours it is a fantastic marketing opportunity that Buster is letting slip through his fingers.

id not hold my breath on that one - to put on event or meeting is a massive gamble for an individual meeting I'd guess it be £20 admission for starters depending on line up -just can't see the promotion putting a meeting on over the past few years they have shown no interest in running meetings other than league meeting and World Cup - only other meetings I can think of is Roy's and Mads testimonials and the Stars v Zelina Gora meetings those 3 plus World Cup wasn't run by the Champmans so offered no risk - a 50th meeting ? I will believe it when I see it

Winning the top league in British Speedway for the first time ever would be the perfect way to celebrate our 50th year.

I agree rather than have a 50th year celebration meeting let's put everything into winning this league what better way to celebrate - why waste money on a meaningless meeting ? Put this cash into the team

Watching, Listening and learning from all that went on last night it seems the promotions are happy with the team and the way it is now performing. Pleased with the revival of KB and Porsing, there only concerns are that both Lambert and Milik recapture their ability after their injuries.

Was amazed at the number of VIP guests there were and the segregation in the Royal Box indicate Buster is spreading the word..

Don't have no problem with any of that, but would like to see more communication with the supporters than that of present.....

Porsing has raised his game for a few meetings now but it's way to early to suggest Bjerre is revived.

Bjerre's a gating tart and against Wolves proved nothing as they were a complete joke of an outfit last night.

Judge Bjerre after the next couple weeks

For sure Kenni can be quick out fo the gate, so indeed could be described as a gating tart. Is that a crime in Speedway ? Last night however when he on a couple of occasions someone gated with him he kept it screwed on into the first 2 bends and didnt back out. He still is not back to the Kenni B at his best, but I thought the signs looked good.

As I say, you can't really form an opinion about any rider against an abysmal Wolves side.

Next week is the beat meeting to judge Bjerre on.

He can Only beat what is in front of him... His winning times were not that far behind an on fire PUK ( within in .2 of the track record in the opener). The thing for me with Kenni last night was that he kept it screwed on despite having 'company' with him going into the first bend. Buster said he was pleased that Rob and Himself had stuck with him.

Lakeside were interested in Przedpelski until they discovered he would come in on a 7.5 average. It's big ask for aPole to come to British tracks he has never ridden before and is not used to and hit that sort of average straight away. The season would probably be over before he gets dialled in.

Possibly a big ask yes ... but he hasn't had a lot of problems getting 'dialled in' in his first year on Swedish tracks - he looks like a quick learner :P

i think a lot of the fun side of things at the club is the difference between Premier League and Elite League .. there were so many things happening during the PL times, the team were winning, there were trophies, the bunch of riders that were at the club over the years had a certain fun mentality, riders mixed with supporters in the bar after, in fact I think Rob made them, and that's why there was success .. a lot of the fun goes when you get to Elite League, it's all about costings and riders coming and going, leaving straight after the meeting with no supporter interaction other than a minority of riders that make the effort.

things certainly have changed
