Kings Lynn 2015

Scheduling the fixtures in ASAP makes sense, gives plenty of time for rain offs and can help the team get some momentum.

Just hope Niels is back up and running from the start, otherwise we might be playing catch-up.

Rightly or wrong, I have always assumed Niels will be back to his natural best. I appreciate he had a truly awesome accident and has worked hard to get fit, but because all the riders have had the off season to rest and recuperate, I'm thinking that Niels will come back as normal, and be on the pace.. Probably, I'm taking too much for granted. With Niels leading the way we can achieve anything, with him missing, it's a different ball game. The only good thing is you don't win the league in the first few months..... :t:

Has anyone heard any news on who the new number 7 will be? I believe we were waiting on the fitness of Ashley Morris, but I honestly don't think he'll be ready for the start of this season. Head injuries can take a long time to fully recover from. I had heard Tom Stokes' name mentioned a couple of weeks back, but nothing else... Only curious :)

Seriously, a number 7 is needed who is going to contribute by scoring some points. This is a no-brainer. The best rider available is, by some distance in my opinion, Ben Morley.

I can't comment on Tom Stokes as never seen him ride as I don't go to NL meetings at NA - I agree we need someone at 7 that's going to score points and that's not just making the numbers up - Morley has EL experience I think it was with Lakeside last season so he surly has to be a better option than Stokes .

I'm far more concerned as to when they will sign a charismatic, knowledgable and competent centre green presenter!

I appreciate what you say, but whoever we had to follow Mike Bennett was always going a hard act to follow. I believe this is a trait you either have it or you don't. There are not many good ones about. Knowledgeable, yeah, Competent maybe , but it is that Charismatic person who is hard to find.......

We'll have too keep looking............

Agree that Mike Bennett is a very hard act to follow. I also agree that knowledge alone is not the answer, Kevin has forgotten more than most of us know about the sport, but his delivery is somewhat monotone. What really annoys me about the current bloke is not his lack of charisma, he has a certain amount of that (whether it's to individual tastes is another matter), he is obviously reasonably competent with the techniques of a mic ( I believe he also does the stocks). He simply doesn't seem to care that his knowledge of speedway is at the very least flawed if not almost non-existent. If he simply talked to some knowledgeable fans and got the terminology right he would be far less annoying. He is also repetitive in the extreme.

I can put up with 3 races with a youngster who has loads to learn and will rarely participate in a good race but 2 + hours of verbal crap is beyond my endurance. Presentation is IMHO an integral part of the evenings entertainment. I shall simply just enjoy my away trips and forget the NA until he is replaced.

I'm hoping that Buster will see the difference at Rory's testimonial and realise that certain areas at the NA still need work

The current chap was certainly lively when he first arrived, but I stupidly assumed he would take some interest in the sport and develop his knowledge, but all he seems capable of is shouting the riders racing number and their names and that's about it. If you crossed him with Kevin you'd have a half decent presenter.

And sometimes, he even gets that bit of information wrong if I remember rightly ;):D

I believe Kevin would make a far better job of it . But don't he do the video recordings as well??

Sounds like the "programme" is here to stay so I won't be surprised if Matt is here to stay too!😕

Confirmed by Marc Gent on twitter! He's delighted by the sounds of it!

"For those wondering about Matt (Stars presenter) on the BSF. I am delighted to say he will be back this season. :-)"

It's surprising that a representative of the club finds it amusing to jeer at customers' opinions. They say that Mr Tesco stopped listening to their customers and so went downhill! Thank goodness we have some great riders to support eh....
