g13webb
Sky wanted Poole to host Kings Lynn on Monday 30th March as well, so that both meetings could be televised - but Poole refused. Hence that fixture is still tbc. Do you mean to say you haven't had time to fill that hole in. yet !!!

Trees
Quite right GRW, you can't please everyone. But in my mind having three home meetings in eight days, two against the same team, and then a localish away match on day nine is going to put several people off. I understand we are playing to the tune of foreign riders and fixtures and this will always be the case until we have one particular race day if that ever happens. On the other hand some might not be able to wait to get stuck into supporting the team after the long winter, the more the merrier ;-)
semion
For some it will be about balancing finances and when meetings come thick and fast some may well decide to give the less attractive fixtures a miss. At The end of the day the first meeting with Poole is only a warm up meeting.
Bagpuss
I think the weather could also play a part, the likelihood of three fine evenings is pretty small and people probably won't risk it with another meeting a few days later. I hope there will be three bumper crowds but just don't see it. Edited January 23, 2015 by Gordon Bennett
Trees
Fingers crossed they will all be sunny spring days!!!!! Come On!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D And everyone has saved their pennies over the speedway starved winter so they can enjoy every race of our 50th year :-) UP THE STARS, THIS IS OUR YEAR :-D Edited January 23, 2015 by Trees
g13webb
Never having lost faith in KB,and have always felt, given an injury free spell, he would deliver the goods. Each time he has had an accident and getting back to something like his true form then another injury comes along. Each of these accidents has not been his fault and has come off worse than the instigator. Had three years of terrible bad luck..... Reading his article in this weeks SS, he too thinks given a injury season he'll be up there with the best and that can only be good for all concerned... NB: Another of those small riders who would suffer, if this new ruling on the gardening at the start is adopted....

I see we have Poole on the 31st of March at the NA and Lakeside at home two days later.Surely this will be changed as they cant expect the supporters to go to both.Anyway at work for both of these and 6 others during the course of the season, unless fixtures change which they are liable to. Why only 1 fixture in June and 2 in August which are predominantly good months weather wise.Fixtures seem very disjointed to me.

tellboy
GPs and WTCs etc no doubt ...... Gp's don't affect Lynn as we ride on Wednesdays.Isn't the WTC only a week long. Personally don't think the fans are thought of with a stop start fixture programme again.
Trees
They do cos haven't the BSPA said that they would try to not run on meetings on GP weeks? I haven't checked to see if they have kept to their word ...... So there are GPs on 8th and 29th Aug WC on 6th, 8th, 11th and 13th June GPs on 7th, 18th and 25th July 16th and 23rd May And 4 more of them after that too! Well Lynn have 4 meetings in the weeks leading up to a GP,plus one to be confirmed against Poole. So out of the first 8 GPs Lynn could have 5 meetings in the same week. I haven't included the 4 GPs in September and October as this will be when the play-offs are so if Lynn are in them who knows how many meetings will be in the same week.Must be BSPA b****hit again
kelvinht
Only two league matches in August so I reckon the main part of the season will be done and dusted by the end of July....absolutely crazy!
Trees
That's what people want innit, get it all over done with early before the cold and rain of autumn :-( Edited January 25, 2015 by Trees
Bagpuss
I think what people want is regular speedway, whether that be every week or every fortnight. A routine rather than feast or famine with fixtures.

A routine rather than feast or famine with fixtures.Surely it's only June which is messed up by the WC when we will lack mainly weekly speedway? We get 4 regular months out of 5 .... with the eagerly awaited PotE in early August!Hopefully we will be able to enjoy Rory's meeting, a Polish mtg and the Poole matches in March too :-)
Bagpuss
To be fair the fixtures are fairly well spread as you say, just that cluster in the last two weeks of March and the SWC break really. Presumably any Polish challenge would be on Wednesday 18th.
