I guess with Robert Going to Boro that will curtail his trips to Germany Etc. Friday night track plus the number of Saturday and Sunday tracks in the Premier League will keep him bust most weekends

I'm optimistic he will earn a few quid most weekends... ;)

Can't see anything other than the same top 5 as last season announced tonight.

There should be scope for improvement from Bjerre, Schlein, Porsing and Lambert. Should be enough to see us involved in a hunt for a playoff place. After that, it's a lottery with form and fitness. After the break for the SWC several riders dipped in form due to varying reasons. If we can avoid that, we should be in for another decent season.

Always nice to have some continuity in the team as well.

I am not sure I agree with that one Speed. I think our team of last year peaked mid term and then fell away. Other teams will be stronger this term, in particular at Reserve, where we enjoyed a good advantage at the start of last season. Maybe a bit of improvment in Porsing and Lambert. NKI and Kenni, should be there or thereabouts compared with last year. Rory ? Who Knows. I wouldnt want money on him rising or falling in average next season. Think we could well make the top ( difficult to judge yet). just feel this side ( if it stays the same) had its best chance last season, but lost their way after a fantastic start to the season.

I think I have to agree with you there. Whilst I like the idea of continuity (which rarely happens these days!) I think to basically continue with what we had last year, except for Rose, would be a massive gamble this year. Some other teams already look fairly strong in the top 5 department! It's more Rory that I have concerns over out of everyone and having Jacobs instead of Rose may not pay off. It might work out as Jacobs is a little bit of an unknown quantity for me. I think he could be decent...but at the same time, I don't think he'll completely fill Lewis Rose's boots. Personally, I'd have protected Rose and taken a chance in group 1 with regards to the reserve draft, but hey, obviously the club thought differently and I'm sure they have their reasons. Massive shame we couldn't keep both reserves, as after all, they've come through our own NL side that we've kept going over the past few years! I don't think it's right that we bring a rider through the ranks, only to then have to affectively give him away to someone else for a year! Going back to Rory, as I think has already been mentioned earlier in this topic, is a 6-7 point 3rd heatleader. As much as I like Rory, I feel he was a let down at a few key points during last season for whatever reason. That's why he's a concern for me anyway.

I defo agree that last season was probably our best chance but that's been and gone now. What we need to do is learn from it but very little you can do about riders getting injured. Niels, Kenneth, Nicklas and both Lewis' were injured at some point during the business end of the season.

However with the realistic options available, feel it might be better sticking rather than twisting in this case. Robert and Nicklas have now ridden everywhere so should kick on. I agree Rory should be doing better, he probably knows that himself but after Buster splashed out on the transfer fee, he's always likely to be used.

If Kenneth can stay fit then he should be near the 8 point mark (at least) at the end of the season.

The Kerr/Rose decision is swings and roundabouts really. Joe Jacobs is a pretty decent rider, especially at the NA. I've seen the majority of Young Stars meetings over the past few seasons and without doubt he's been one of the most impressive visiting riders. He's not kicked on in the PL as quickly as Kerr & Rose but Lynn is a track that will suit him.

id sooner see bjerre dropped, wheres craig cook going?

Back to Belle Vue or Leicester I imagine. But you're not seriously suggesting drop Bjerre for Cook are you?

Totally agree with you 'em1 a terrible rule,i am pleased as i get to see Lewis Rose at the abbey which is great for me.But Kerr and Rose should be lineing up with Lynn this year,i do think in Jacobs there is a very tidy rider there who will improve.
